Anti-Israel Dem rips Jewish House Dem colleague as a ‘coward’ and a ‘punk’

The slighting of Jewish Americans from those on the left has been out in the open in the aftermath of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas savagely attacking Israel, with even Democratic members of Congress not being immune to the attacks.

U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), who is Jewish, was called a “coward” and a “punk” by a fellow caucus member, U.S. Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN), after criticizing a small group of Democrats who voted against a resolution condemning  Hamas — Carson was among the group.

“I think he’s not acting in the role as a member of Congress,” Carson told CNN. “I think he’s shown himself to be very emotional — like most cowardly people, when you confront them, they’re afraid. I’m unafraid of the guy. And if he wants to call us despicable, I’m saying he’s a coward and he’s a punk.”

The towering left-wing lawmaker went even further, essentially threatening his Jewish colleague with violence.

“He should remember why the people sent him here,” Carson said. “And if he wants to play some kind of tough guy or gangster, we can handle it like gentlemen, or we can get into something else.”

On Friday, Gottheimer slammed those who refused to publicly support Israel while condemning Hamas, calling them “despicable.”

He tweeted: “Last night, 15 of my Democratic colleagues voted AGAINST standing with our ally Israel and condemning Hamas terrorists who brutally murdered, raped, and kidnapped babies, children, men, women, and elderly, including Americans. They are despicable and do not speak for our party.”

Gottheimer responded to Carson’s attack in a statement to CNN, saying that he is more than willing to sit down with his colleague while detailing his topics of concern.

“I’ll sit down with Mr. Carson anytime to talk about how we can bring the hostages home, including all Americans, provide immediate humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians being used as human shields, and crush Hamas and all terrorists seeking to do us harm,” the lawmaker said.

On that end, CNN chief congressional correspondent Manu Raju tweeted, “Gottheimer and Carson are likely to meet this week, per Dem leadership source.”

The nine Democrats who voted “no” on the resolution include some of the most radical left members in DC, including the first two Muslin women elected to Congress, U.S. Reps.  Ilhan Omar (MN), and Rashida Tlaib (MI), and other “squad” members: U.S. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Jamaal Bowman (NY), André Carson (IN), Cori Bush (MO), Al Green (TX), Summer Lee (PA), and Delia Ramirez (IL).

U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (MA), another squad member, was among the six Democrats who delivered a “present” vote: U.S. Reps. Greg Casar (TX), Joaquin Castro (TX), Jesús Garcia (IL), Pramila Jayapal (WA), Nydia Velázquez (NY), and Pressley.
