‘Squad’ members Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar rush to blame deadly Gaza hospital blast on Israel

The fog of war isn’t about to prevent members of the left-wing Democrat “Squad” from spinning a tragedy into another opportunity to demonize Israel and they pounced on a deadly blast that destroyed a hospital in Gaza.

After news broke that hundreds had been killed at al-Ahli Baptist Hospital on Tuesday in what the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are attributing to errant enemy rocket fire, both Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) took to social media to blame the warzone incident on the Jewish nation, shooting from the hip before the facts were in.

“Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that,” Tlaib raved on X, formerly Twitter, also seeming to suggest that President Joe Biden has blood on his hands.

“@POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate,” the “Squad” member added. “Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood.”

Tlaib’s cohort, Rep. Omar also took to X to point the finger at Israel.

“Bombing a hospital is among the gravest of war crimes. The IDF reportedly blowing up one of the few places the injured and wounded can seek medical treatment and shelter during a war is horrific,” the Somali-born lawmaker wrote. @POTUS needs to push for an immediate ceasefire to end this slaughter.”

The dynamic duo of Jew-hating congresswomen weren’t the only leftists to rush to judgment.

Socialist curmudgeon Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) issued a strongly worded statement that while condemning the violence, insinuated that Israel was guilty of war crimes.

“The bombing of a Palestinian hospital is an unspeakable crime, as is the displacement of a million people without water, food, and medicine,” Comrade Bernie declared.

But the IDF, a far more credible source than loud-mouthed members of Congress with a history of anti-Semitic sentiment, threw cold water on those accusing Israel of what would have been a horrific act that it would stand absolutely nothing to gain from.

“From the analysis of the operational systems of the IDF, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards Israel, which passed through the vicinity of the hospital when it was hit,” an IDF spokesperson said. “According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization is responsible for the failed shooting that hit the hospital.”

“I am outraged and deeply saddened by the explosion at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza, and the terrible loss of life that resulted. Immediately upon hearing this news, I spoke with King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel and have directed my national security team to continue gathering information about what exactly happened,” President Joe Biden said in a statement on the tragedy.
