House Republicans launched on Thursday a formal impeachment hearing against President Joe Biden, and it’s clear the Democrats were well-prepped for the occasion.
Facing what Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the Oversight Committee, promised would be “a mountain of evidence” that will show Biden “lied to the American people about his knowledge and participation in his family’s corrupt international and domestic business schemes” and potentially “committed impeachable offenses under the U.S. Constitution,” House Dems went into denial mode and attempted to paint “the Big Guy” as nothing more than a loving father to his poor drug-addicted son, Hunter.
As Liberals so often do, the Democrats made their case with maximum theatrical appeal.
“This entire fake impeachment inquiry isn’t about the United States; it’s about Hunter Biden,” stated Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.). “And the only thing the president can be guilty of here is being a father.”

After stressing how “serious” the hearing is, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) implied that House Republicans are simply lying because they are not under oath.
“This is an embarrassment,” she stated. “An embarrassment to the time and people of this country. And I would ask that the chair and I would ask that this committee elevate to the promise of our duties here and comport ourselves with the consistency and practice that is required of our seats and our duty and our oath to our responsibilities here.”

Despite her super-serious tone, many on X weren’t buying her pitch.

Perhaps the most dramatic of the Democrats was Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), who used the majority of her five minutes to talk about Donald Trump.
Claiming she had seen no evidence that Biden had committed a crime, she began waving shots of the documents found in Trump’s bathroom at Mar-a-Lago.
“When we start talking about things that look like evidence, they want to act like they blind,” she said.
“They don’t know what this is,” she said, holding up a photo. “This is our national secrets, looks like in the sh**ter to me.”
“I will tell you what the president has been guilty of,” Crockett shouted. “He has unfortunately been guilty of loving his child unconditionally, and that is the only evidence that they have brought forward. And honestly, I hope and pray that my parents love me half as much as he loves his child.”

She was promptly dragged on X for going “ghetto.”

In a press release following the hearing, the House Oversight Committee dismissed the Democrats’ “stunts.”
“While Democrat members engaged in political stunts, Republican members highlighted evidence, including financial records, emails, texts, and witness and whistleblower testimony, showing President Joe Biden lied to the American people about his knowledge and participation in his family’s corrupt international and domestic business schemes,” the release reads. “Under an impeachment inquiry, the House Committees on Oversight and Accountability, Judiciary, and Ways and Means will continue to follow the evidence to determine whether President Biden committed impeachable offenses under the U.S. Constitution.”
