State Department unveils Hillary’s portrait and the reaction is harsh

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was on hand Tuesday at the State Department for the official unveiling of her portrait, not that this was a monumental moment for all.

Interestingly, before the curtain was pulled back by two officers oddly wearing masks to depict Clinton standing in front of an American flag, the woman who lied to the nation about a YouTube video being responsible for the terrorist attack in Benghazi all but complained about it taking so long to honor her tenure.

“Between COVID, between not wanting to finish it during the prior administration, it’s been a while. And I am going to be probably as surprised as all of you,” she said, drawing laughter from the room. Clinton also touted her efforts in “reinstating a foreign policy that plays to the best of American values, that puts our interests and security front and center.”

Taking to social media to share her greatness, Clinton tweeting: “We’re delighted to share it with the American public right here, in case you don’t make it in person to headquarters in Foggy Bottom anytime soon.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken offered profuse praise for the nation’s 67th secretary of state, all the while accusing America of bigotry — he made no mention of the four Americans killed under Clinton’s watch in Benghazi, including the first American ambassador to be murdered since 1988.

“The walk to the secretary’s office on the seventh floor is a little bit awe-inspiring … down that wood-paneled mahogany row, surrounded by portraits of our predecessors, most of them looking a little bit severe, many with some pretty imaginative facial hair, and all but three of them white men,” Blinken said.

“And now, beginning today, another secretary will join this esteemed group. A secretary who helped transform American diplomacy for the 21st century,” he added, proving that those who hold the power write the history, regardless of how detached it is from reality.
