Cringe! Kamala Harris hosts star-studded hip hop house party, wows crowd with her ‘granny moves’

Despite the efforts of spinmeisters to portray her as presidential material, VP Kamala Harris is just not a serious person in the eyes of many, and she showcased her frivolous approach to the job by showing off her dancing skills at a house party to mark the 50th anniversary of hip hop.

On Saturday while her boss President Joe Biden was in India for the G20 Summit, Harris hosted a star-studded party at the vice president’s official residence to commemorate five decades of what she described as “the ultimate American art form” that “shapes every aspect of America’s popular culture.”

“Hip hop is a celebration of Black joy, freedom, and liberation. It was my honor to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this ultimate American art form by hosting the first-ever hip hop event at the Vice President’s Residence,” Harris wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Hip-hop is the ultimate American art form,” Harris said at the event, according to Politico. “It tells the stories that don’t make the news. But as the great Chuck D once said, rap is Black America’s CNN. And by telling the truth, hip-hop calls us to action.”

Among invitees to the veep’s shindig were some of the genre’s biggest names including Lil Wayne, Jeezy, MC Lyte, and Roxanne Shante, but it was the 58-year-old Harris who stole the show with video footage of her clad in a multi-colored tropical top and purple pants strutting her stuff to the beat of Q-Tip’s 1999 hit “Vivrant Thing.”

The woman who’s a heartbeat away from the presidency was ridiculed by X users for her cringeworthy performance.

“It’s mid-September and our country is burning down: inflation rages, an economic depression looms, illegal immigration tears us apart at the seams. Joe Biden is somewhere sleeping and Kamala Harris is dancing to Q-Tip at a backyard party,” wrote podcaster Joey Mannarino. “Hopefully she doesn’t get too drunk & go OG Throat Goat on someone!

Political commentator Anthony Brian Logan mocked her “granny” moves.

“Every day, Vice President Harris is fighting for the people,” said The Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason, Jr. at the party. “She’s fighting for our people. Our vice president was rooted in hip-hop, and it’s essential to who she is.”
