“Fox & Friends” cohost Ainsley Earhardt was speaking to diners in Urbandale, Iowa, on Friday and was somewhat stunned by an 80-year-old woman who tore into first lady Jill Biden.
Earhardt approached the woman, who identified herself as Donna, while she was sitting at a table in a Machine Shed restaurant and asked her if the economy was one of her key concerns, but the elderly woman pivoted to cognitively challenged 80-year-old President Joe Biden.
“Actually, no. For me, one of the things that bothers me is I’m five days younger than the president,” Donna said. “And I said I gimp — my walk has a gimp, and I forget things once in a while.”
“But I feel that he has been put out before people and being made fun of all the time,” she continued. “And I would hope to think that my family would not do that to me.”
The remark drew sympathy from Earhardt, but Donna was busy shifting her attention to Mrs. Biden for allowing her husband to be held up to so much ridicule.
“And I feel that Jill Biden should be — feel very badly for what she’s doing,” Donna said.
“Wow,” the Fox News host replied before asking Donna who she thinks the Democratic candidate should be.
“That I don’t know,” she replied. “I think what I’d like to see is because they, the Democrats, don’t like him, I’d like to see the Kennedy (RFK Jr.) running. I think that’s kind of fun to see what they’re going to be doing this year.”
Interestingly, a recent poll showed that Biden’s advanced age may well play a factor in the 2024 presidential election, with even a clear majority of Democrat voters saying he is too old to run.
The Wall Street Journal poll offered “a stark warning to the 80-year-old incumbent ahead of the 2024 contest,” showing that 73 percent of respondents believe Biden’s age was a detriment should he have to serve another five-and-a-half years in office, with even TWO-THIRDS of Democrat respondents agreeing with that sentiment.
“Voters overwhelmingly think President Biden is too old to run for re-election and give him low marks for handling the economy and other issues important to their vote,” the Journal said.
