White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is regularly ridiculed as one of the most incompetent individuals to ever hold the position but she’s definitely a legend in her own mind, saying that she got the job because she’s “beyond capable” in a recent interview.
The historic first black lesbian immigrant to be tapped as the chief spox for the most powerful office on the planet sat down with host Stacy Brown for a chat, a clip of which is drawing mockery over her rebutting the idea that she was merely just another diversity hire and claiming that she was appointed by President Joe Biden due to her impressive credentials and qualifications for the position.

“The president, and Dr. Biden they decided to put me in this position. They decided that they wanted Karine Jean-Pierre, with all of the things, all of the communities that I represent,” she said.
“Clearly being a black person right? Being a black woman…they said, we want you to represent us,” Jean-Pierre continued. “We want you to represent the White House. We want to meet this moment that we’re in and we know that you are beyond capable of doing that. You are experienced and you are the voice that we want to have.”
Jean-Pierre’s overinflated ego didn’t mesh with the reality as perceived by many astute observers of her daily press briefing clown shows and they weighed in with their takes on Twitter/X.

It’s not the first time that Biden’s number-one mouthpiece has gushed about herself. Earlier this summer, Jean-Pierre oozed pomposity from every pore when she spoke of how she would go down in history with her appointment.
