The New Jersey woman who’s known as “Tan Mom” is running for the U.S. Senate in Florida — as a Republican, we regret to inform you.

Patricia Krentcil, 55, a self-avowed tanning addict was arrested in 2012 for taking her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning salon — she’s starring in a ten-part reality show titled “Tan to 10” in which she’s purportedly seeking help with her addiction. The show’s IMDb description reads: “The tannest woman in the world, Patricia Krentcil, attempts an extreme makeover with the help of a world famous plastic surgeon, drag queens, and best friends.”

“The thing with my campaign is that you know everything about me from the start,” Krentcil told Fox News. “There’s no skeletons or hidden secrets or shocking dirt to be revealed. What you see is what you get because my life has been documented. I think more media personalities should get involved in politics for this reason.”

“I’ve walked through the fire to get to where I am at, which is a strong, independent woman who wants positive change in this country and world,” Krentcil said.

If she sees the prospect through, Krentcil will be up against Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., the former governor of Florida.

She is reportedly a heavy smoker and had checked herself into rehab in 2013 for alcohol abuse. A single mother of five, Krentcil is also a frequent guest on “The Howard Stern Show,” according to TMZ.

“I know that I am different. And I have suffered for it. But us all being different is what makes this country so amazing and unique,” she told the outlet.

Krentcil also said LGBTQ+ equality and bringing diversity back to the classrooms are central to her platform, though she admits her limitations.

“Am I the most well spoken, brilliant politician that ever lived? No,” Krentcil told Fox News. “But I am a mom of five, with two kids in high school currently, boots on the ground in Florida, dealing with medical issues. I get it. I get what these people are going through. And it’s not good. We need to change it.”

“Banning Shakespeare, teaching slavery was beneficial? This is the priority when thousands of people can’t pay their home insurance premiums or medical bills!? Nobody should be made to feel inferior for how they look, or who they are as a person. I know this from personal experience,” she added, sounding very much like a Democrat as she regurgitates the party’s talking points used against Gov. Ron DeSantis.
