Bud Lite parody account gets Twitter riled over fake 4th of July ad: ‘Well it’s on brand I’ll give ya that’

While some previously loyal Bud Light drinkers may still be holding out for an outright apology over the disastrous partnership with Dylan Mulvaney, a 26-year-old biological male who feigns to be a little girl, a tweet from a Bud Light parody account marking the Fourth of July threw gasoline on a raging fire by outright mocking consumers.

In a follow-up to Bud Light true-to-life sponsoring a raunchy Toronto Pride parade last week featuring naked men, the parody account shared this fake ad: “Bud Lite and wieners. Name a more iconic pairing. We’ll wait.”

The phony ad comes as a former Anheuser-Busch president Anson Frericks called on current company president Brendan Whitworth to resign over the Bud Light fiasco.

“Whitworth has clearly shown himself to be incapable of solving the Mulvaney crisis. He’s had multiple chances and he’s failed. It’s time he did the right thing and stepped aside to make way for someone capable of righting the sinking Bud Light ship,” Frericks wrote in a column for the Daily Mail that was published Saturday.
