Musk’s mother pulls Mom card, says cage fight with Zuck ‘has been canceled’

Mom put her foot down and the much-anticipated cage fight between Elon Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is no more.

The Twitter owner’s mother Maye Musk, 75, said in a recent tweet that the fight has been “canceled,” telling people “don’t encourage this match.”

“Actually, I canceled the fight. I haven’t told them yet. But I will continue to say the fight is canceled, just in case…,” she said in a tweet shared on Thursday, before adding, “And now the fight has been canceled. Great relief! ”

Clearly worried about her son’s safety, Mrs. Musk responded on Friday with a little less strenuous alternative: “A verbal fight only. Three questions each. The funniest answers win. Who agrees?”

Mother Musk was responding to her billionaire son replying with two “fire” emojis to a video clip of Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White saying Musk and Zuckerberg were dead serious about squaring off inside a cage.

“This would be the biggest fight ever, in the history of the world,” White predicted.

The beat response to Maye Muck’s intervention, perhaps, was seen from an Elon Musk parody account

“MOM. You’re embarrassing me in front of my Twitter friends. I’m going to break Zucks face,” the tweet said.

While many agree with Mom here, online polling has it going the other way.

Here’s a sampling of other responses, as seen on Twitter:
