‘Holy crap!’ Actor Rob Schneider throws Twitter for a loop with presidential endorsement

Actor Rob Schneider, a one-time “lifelong Democrat” who said in 2017 that he was “definitely more conservative” while changing his voter registration to independent, has come out in support of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum shared a photo taken with the son of former U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968 while running for president

“Inspiring, hopeful, courageous and most importantly (like his father) compassionate. It’s my honor to support ⁦⁦@RobertKennedyJr,” Schneider tweeted, adding the hashtag: #Kennedy2024.

RFK Jr. is challenging President Joe Biden in the Democratic Party primary and the environmental lawyer is beginning to make some in the party nervous as his poll numbers improve.

Kennedy thanked Schneider for his endorsement by sharing the same photo, adding: ” Thanks @RobSchneider for your years of courage + MCing a successful #Kennedy24 fundraiser last night in Brentwood.”

One social media user suggested Schneider would make for a hilarious White House press secretary, should Kennedy prevail in his presidential bid:

Here’s a sampling of other responses to the story from Twitter where Schneider’s name went viral:
