Singer and designer Jessie James Decker garnered plenty of attention and support when she wiped a tear while walking the runway at her Miami Swim Week show over the weekend.
Decker was showcasing the latest swimwear collection from her clothing brand, Kittenish, according to Fox News, and she closed the show by walking down the runway wearing a tan crocheted bikini top and wrap skirt — overcome by emotion, she could be seen wiping her eye.
She took to Instagram afterward to explain why the moment was so touching for her.
“I watched back stage on the monitor as all these incredible women walked so fiercely and confidently in these pieces, and how this entire show was put together by my incredible team at Kittenish and I really had a pinch me moment,” she wrote. “As I walked out on the runway at the end I couldn’t help but tear up. Sometimes we all are so go go go at full speed that we don’t stop to smell the roses and really think about how far we’ve all come in this journey. So I decided in that moment to just let myself feel every emotion and the tears came.”
Decker added, “I felt a little silly in a swimsuit tearing up lol but the truth is the 14 year old little girl with big dreams took it all in. Never stop dreaming,”

Decker also thanked her team and the models: “Kittenish team: my ride or dies! Y’all NAILED this yet again. I am so grateful for you! Thank you for all of your blood sweat and sparkling tears you put into this! To our beautiful models inside and out thanks for rocking the suits so fiercely.”
The country-pop singer recently posted on Instagram Story that she’s “over” her body ink, posting a photo of the astrological sign Aries tattooed on the back of her neck.
“I want this removed ASAP. I want all my tats removed tbh,” she wrote. “They trashy and I’m over it. BUT this is the priority.”
