‘Pro-tip…don’t do this in Florida’: Punks think it’s funny to barge into random people’s homes

A highly disturbing new social media trend features “youths” videoing themselves as they boldly walk into random homes uninvited — a blatantly stupid idea that will get someone killed if the wrong house is approached.

One video making the rounds featured three young black men in London walking through a black gate and up the steps of a home, paying no attention to a woman working in the front garden.

“Walking into random houses, let’s go,” one of the intruders can be heard saying in the video below, right before they stormed the house.

“Excuse me what are you doing?” the woman asked, as she scrambles to get ahead of them.

Unsuccessful in heading them off, the apparent homeowner, calls out, “Dave, come to the front door right now, please!”

As they enter the rather affluent home through a propped-open front door, one of the intruders appeared to mock the distressed woman by calling out the same name.

“We need to speak with Dave,” one of them said, as the man came up from downstairs.

A toddler can be seen in the room below as the concerned man climbed the stairs to confront the group, which is now fully inside their home. One of the apparent teens makes himself at home in an inner room, sitting down on the couch and putting his feet up.

The three “youths” feign that they are looking for a study group asking if this is the location while the anxious man tries to corral them and usher them out of the home, frantically telling the group that they have “kids” in the house. The young men then exit the house.

The UK has some of the strictest gun control measures in the world, so the odds were exceedingly in favor of the intruders. Then again, this is a great example of the value of the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

In America, the odds swing wildly in the other direction and, in many cases, once an uninvited person is inside your home the law states that it is reasonable to assume that they intend to do harm, meaning it is legal to shoot them.

Always helpful, former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino offered up some advice for potential trend followers: “Pro-Tip: Please don’t do this in Florida. You’ll likely get dead. Quickly. Don’t get dead.”

Here’s a quick sampling of other responses to the story from Twitter:
