In a somewhat sobering assessment, given what is being said, former arms dealer Viktor Bout, better known as the “Merchant of Death,” had some interesting advice for Donald Trump, saying the former president’s life is in danger if he remains in the United States.
And make no mistake, the agenda-driven media will jump all over that advice.
Bout, who was infamously traded in a Biden administration prisoner swap with Moscow for U.S. basketball player Brittney Griner, who was imprisoned on drug charges, is back in Russia and he claimed that he sent Trump a telegram after his arraignment last week in New York City, according to the Daily Mail.
“First and foremost, I consider that his life is in danger and that the legal process which has now begun in New York, won’t end in Donald Trump being convicted and barred from the election. Most likely he will simply be eliminated there,” Bout reportedly said on Russian state television, in reference to the former president who now leads the Republican Party for the 2024 presidential nomination.
(If convicted of filing false business records related to a payoff to porn star Stormy Daniels, Trump would not be barred from running for president.)
But it was the next bit of advice that the media will likely eat up.
“You will be welcome in Russia. You will have safe haven,” Bout wrote, according to the document he shared during the appearance.
Former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren tweeted, “If this is true…the world has officially gone mad..you just can’t make this stuff up.”
