Lockdown-loving liberal Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of Teachers, continues to fail Social Media 101.
The influential union official who, because of COVID alarmism if not opportunism, opposed reopening public schools for in-person learning for the longest time even as students continued to fall behind, seems to be apparently spreading some additional fear-mongering, according to her critics.
The blame-shifting Weingarten, who many contend is essentially a Democrat activist and someone with minimal classroom experience, reportedly banks about $500,000 a year, which is about nine times the average salary of a U.S. teacher.
Sharing a PBS article, she is warning her approximately 123,000 Twitter followers about a so-called tridemic consisting of the flu, Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and COVID.
Our country is facing a tridemic: flu, RSV and COVID. "More than three-quarters of pediatric hospital beds nationwide are occupied, seniors are hospitalized at a higher rate for respiratory illness & flu hospitalizations are at a decade-level high." https://t.co/mjSUQ02VCN

According to taxpayer-funded PBS, the tridemic is putting the U.S. healthcare system at risk of being overwhelmed with sick patients.
“More than three-quarters of pediatric hospital beds nationwide are at capacity. And some states are reporting that more than 90 percent of pediatric beds are occupied. Seniors are also being hospitalized at a higher rate for respiratory illness. And hospitalizations from the flu are at a decade-level high,” the network contended.
Parenthetically, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has dubbed Weingarten “the most dangerous person in the world” because of the dismal status of the American education system that prioritizes woke indoctrination over reading, writing, legitimate history in all its dimensions, and mathematics.
Weingarten has previously been mocked as a super-spreader of misinformation.

A New York Post op-ed by Natalya Murakhver, co-founder of the anti-child-mandate, non-profit Restore Childhood organization, addressed the Weingarten-Pompeo controversy.
“Randi and her fellow union leaders are the ones who kept our schools closed, our children masked and our communities divided during the darkest times of our lives. They had countless opportunities to lead, to help to unite. But they chose to destroy instead,” Murakhver asserted, in part
“The result? Math tests scores decreased by the largest amount ever. Decades were taken off reading scores. The union, meanwhile, wants fewer tests, less accountability, and an overall lowering of academic standards…Randi and the teachers unions have extorted billions of dollars from this country, and instead of using it to keep schools open and help the most disadvantaged kids, they funneled it into key Democratic races including Gov. Kathy Hochul’s, which raised a record $60 million,” she added.
Weingarten prohibits those she doesn’t follow from directly replying to her tweets, but she nonetheless received a healthy response to her tridemic alert.
Here is a portion of the robust feedback that appears to question her premise:
Randi, in light of Fauci’s disastrous remarks today that local authorities should “evaluate” whether to close schools this winter, please issue a strong and unequivocal statement denouncing any school closures ever again!

Most people know that it’s cold and flu season. Take zinc, vitamin c and vitamin d. Eat healthy, exercise and get plenty of rest as usual.

Perhaps isolating kids – thus arresting development of their immune systems – wasn't such a great idea..🤔 https://t.co/3XGUb0wak1

It's odd a 'teacher' doesn't allow differing opinions on her threads. . . Almost like it's 'my way or the highway'.Very educational debate.
