In today’s progressive-left-dominated Democratic Party, the ends justifying the means is part of the party’s very fabric.
On Thursday, two days after the midterm elections, a federal judge in Texas ruled that President Joe Biden’s plan to cancel hundreds of billions of dollars in student loan debt is unconstitutional and must be vacated, Reuters reported.
The ruling by U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman, an appointee of former President Donald Trump, was expected by many, yet leave it to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to not only feign discontent over the ruling — even he had to see it coming — but to further exploit the political ploy to assist in the coming Senate runoff election in Georgia, which will likely decide the balance in the Senate just as the Peach State did in 2020.
“This MAGA judge is siding with the special interests over what’s best for the people. This is why we need a Senate Democratic Majority,” Schumer said in a tweet. “But the law is on our side and we will keep fighting for the millions of Americans with student debt.”
Schumer’s newfound passion for the issue came after he faced a potential primary threat from U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. — student loan debt is a key issue for the self-described socialist who’s still in hock over her Boston University education.
Suffice it to say, social media was able to glean what was really going on with Schumer’s efforts… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
You need a Senate majority so that judges allow the president to illegally do things without the Senate? That’s a novel one.

Wait…. 18-29yr vote 64% D in second highest midterm turnout, for that age group, and 2 days later the legislation that appeals most to them gets overturned?? Bad movies have more believable plots

I thought attacking judges was bad. Are you trying to get someone to go after this judge like you did Kavanaugh?

“We need a Democrat Senate majority so Biden can skirt Congress without judicial interference.”
Seriously? What a clown. https://t.co/AN3D7jBqZF

So why didn’t you pass this through Congress? https://t.co/i2eCC3s5zw

Kind of weird for a senator being OK with the president unilaterally making a decision that is clearly under Congress’s purview. https://t.co/qI06E6wlEi

The Constitution is certainly not on his side. And shame on you for immediately claiming any judge who stands in your way “MAGA.”Were all the Trump appointed judges who threw out Trump’s bogus stolen election claims “MAGA”? Or does MAGA just mean “stuff you don’t like”? https://t.co/6GlRrqrP7o
