MTG gets some ‘savage’ payback after Dem across the hall loses reelection

Though the 2022 midterm elections did not yield the results that Republicans may have been hoping for, it did provide Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., an opportunity for some revenge.

Recall, if you will, February 2021. Congresswoman Marie Newman, D-Ill., took offense to some comments Greene made as many on the left are wont to do. Her method of retaliation? Erecting a transgender pride flag at her door so her neighbor, Greene, would have to “look at it every time she opens her door.” Her virtue-signaling video received over two million views and was lauded by many on the left.

It took nearly two years for Greene to receive the perfect opportunity to clap back at this, but on Wednesday night she finally did it:

Newman lost her reelection bid after going up against Rep. Sean Casten in a member-on-member primary prompted by redistricting in Illinois. An ethics probe as well as the amount of money spent to fight against her eventually took its toll, according to The Intercept.

But Newman’s loss was Twitter’s gain as users reacted to Greene’s “savage” video:
