As midterm election results continue to roll in and the country waits to hear who will hold the balance of power in both chambers of Congress, Mary Trump warns that former President Donald Trump “has to be” indicted by the Department of Justice or “much worse things are going to happen.”
Appearing on SiriusXM’s “The Dean Obeidallah Show,” Trump’s niece let her Trump Derangement Syndrome flow, discussing the midterm results and how they might affect the Republican juggernaut’s announcement to run for reelection in 2024.
“Are you hopeful? Not tomorrow, but in the near term, we’re going to see Donald Trump indicted for just one of his crimes — just pick any,” Obeidallah asked the “Too Much and Never Enough” author.
Always one for drama, Trump didn’t mince words in her reply, claiming an imminent indictment is the only hope the country has.
“If [Donald Trump] isn’t [indicted], much worse things are going to start happening.”

“I don’t know if I’m hopeful, but all I can say is he has to be, I don’t know whether he will be or not, but he has to be because if he isn’t, then much worse things are going to start happening,” Trump warned.
While she believes the DOJ has plenty of evidence to indict, timing is of the utmost importance to avoid the appearance of election tampering, Trump said.
“I guess it comes down to one — I guess if they feel that they have enough evidence to indict, which it would be shocking if they didn’t. Cause I think we all know that they did like two years ago,” she said. “And two, just the — if they understand, what Donald’s about to do in terms of playing this very cynical card of, ‘If I’m announcing then any attack on me will be a political one.’ Right? Or ‘Any indictment of me will be politically motivated.’ So I think the DOJ has about a week.”
Waiting any longer will destabilize the nation, Trump prophesied.
“They cannot wait until Donald decides to announce,” she said. “So again, hopeful or not, it’s what they have to do, whether they will do it or not. Unfortunately, your guess is as good as mine.”
Linking Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ stance against DOJ monitoring of election sites in Florida to the former president’s abhorrence of the department, Trump alluded that her uncle influenced the pushback.
“And, you know, for example, this doesn’t have to do specifically with Donald, but we know that the DOJ has been sending agents around the country to monitor trouble spots, you know, certain polling stations where they’re getting complaints and (Ron) DeSantis isn’t allowing them to do that,” she said. “Well, he doesn’t have the right to keep them out. Federal law, last I checked in this instance, DeSantis is state law. So he should be — he should be carried out in handcuffs for interfering with what the DOJ feels is necessary to keep the election in Florida free and fair.”
Responses to the interview were mixed on Twitter, with some claiming Trump is a hack taking advantage of her 15 minutes of fame.
I enjoyed her family tell all book. But I’m starting to think the grift runs in the trump bloodline. She knows trump? Great. She hasn’t known him much in decades. Why is she so special? The name. Trump is done. Fox just turned on him.

Others saw her warnings as a CYA situation.
What you are really saying is that if the DOJ and other major players in the government, want to save its A$#, it better prevent Trump from trying to run.

The fact that there is no love lost between the former President and his psychologist niece is not new. In October Trump called her uncle a “mass murderer.”
“The Trump–the soon-t0-be deceased Trump Organization charged the Secret Service like five times the government limit to stay at his sh*tty hotels,” she said during an episode of her podcast “The Mary Trump Show” with guests Brian Karem and Jennifer Taub.
“We’re learning–we’ve learned that–and this, this to me–I will never cease to understand why this wasn’t made a bigger deal, that he politicized, not just politicized the CDC–I mean, that happened eventually–but before he got that far, he essentially hamstrung the CDC and prevented it, prevented them from doing what it was designed to do, which was to protect the American people from things like COVID 19, which resulted in the unnecessary deaths and, therefore purposeful deaths, of hundreds of thousands of Americans,” she added.
“That alone, that alone should have landed this, the former, whatever the f*ck we want to call him–the mass murderer, criminal Donald Trump in prison,” the host charged.
