Billionaire Elon Musk hasn’t even owned Twitter for two weeks yet and there have already been dramatic improvements at the social media giant with left-wingers threatening to leave the platform over losing their unfair advantage, and now Whoopi Goldberg said that she is deleting her account.
Goldberg made her goodbye cruel world announcement on ‘The View,” griping about Musk’s moves which have included ousting the company’s top brass, dissolving the board, laying off several thousand workers, making blue checks cough up a meager $8 a month for their special privilege and then trolling complainers and, most recently, calling for independents to vote for Republicans in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
On Monday’s edition of the daytime ABC gabfest, the longtime co-host said, “So it has been a little over a week since Elon Musk took over Twitter and the place is a, it’s a mess.”

“He’s already called back some of the workforce he fired a few days ago, he’s putting his $8 charge for blue check verification on hold,” she said, proving that liberals will never be happy after they bitterly complained that the fee would be rolled out before the election. “First it was gonna be $20, now it’s gonna be $8.”
“He also suspended Kathy Griffin for impersonating him on a parody account,” she continued, referring to Musk’s dropping of the hammer on the unhinged, unfunny, orange-haired comic who became a Resistance heroine for posing with a bloody replica of then-President Donald J. Trump’s severed head in 2017, noting that leftists have “started a #FreeKathy hashtag trend.”
“I mean I’m…I’m…I’m gettin’ off. I’m gettin’ off today,” she vowed. “Because I just feel like you know, it’s so messy and I’m tired of now, having had certain kinds of attitudes blocked and now they’re back on,” whining about the loss of censorship on Twitter, “And I’m just, I’m gonna get out and if it settles down and I feel more comfortable, maybe I’ll come back but as of tonight, I’m done with Twitter,” prompting cheers from the audience.
The enemies of free speech have taken their loss of control over the digital public square really hard and it could be about to get exponentially worse for them come election day if as predicted, the GOP clobbers Democrats for their catastrophic policies, petty authoritarianism during COVD and arrogant overreach and with Musk now running the show, it is evidently no longer a safe space for the likes of Goldberg.
Twitter has been an increasingly hostile environment for liberals under new management and the new boss who appears to take great delight in trolling them, and Whoopi didn’t get much sympathy from users.
