Jesse Watters convinces co-hosts Musk is aggressively hitting on AOC, ‘major sexual tension’

In a segment of “The Five” on Fox News Friday, co-host Jesse Watters turned a discussion on Twitter into an exposé of the “major sexual tension” between Twitter CEO Elon Musk and Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

Co-host Harold Ford kicked off the topic by showing Musk’s tweet about revenue loss due to pressure on advertisers to divest from Twitter.

“Activists have a right to say what they want. He has a right to say what he wants. He has a right to run the company,” said Ford before asking Watters for his thoughts on the matter.

“Oh, he has a lot of rights,” Watters replied. “One of them is to hit on AOC.”

There were gasps on the set as Watters finished his sentence: “…aggressively.”

Co-host Jeanine Pirro, who must be quite used to Watters’ provocations, nevertheless jumped on her colleague.

“What is wrong with you?” she scolded.

“I’m picking up some major sexual tension between AOC and Musk,” Watters continued undeterred. In his argument, he conflated two exchanges. The first is a pair of tweets on the plan to charge $8 for a blue check.

The second is a video Ocasio-Cortez made of herself evidently pulling off little bits of a piece of fried chicken and casually dishing some gossip about a “certain little billionaire”:

Musk could have let it go, but he didn’t.

The Fox News personality analyzed the feud.

“So he comes out and charges eight bucks,” said Watters. “She puts out this video where she’s eating chicken and she’s got the nice lighting and she’s like, ‘Hey Elon, what’s up?’ And then he’s like no, ‘You’re gonna pay.’”

He then referred to Musk’s response to the video, “What can I say? It was a naked abuse of power,” before wryly suggesting the mutual animosity must be indicating something amorous below the surface.

“I know she’s engaged, but I’m just saying I’m gonna leave it there,” he said, enjoying himself as much as any troll ever has. More even than this guy:

Watters must have had to resist the urge to refer back to this April exchange:

Behind the hilarity is the reality that Musk’s acquisition of Twitter last week for $44 billion has been attended by a lot of hostility. His intention of restoring free speech is not appreciated on the Left, where suppressing free speech has been their M.O. since Donald Trump was elected president. They complain that mass layoffs will hobble the platform’s ability to shut down offensive material.

Musk accused the activists behind the open letter to advertisers of “trying to destroy free speech in America.”
