The now-former host of MSNBC’s Cross Connection Tiffany Cross insulted the state of Florida and Governor Ron DeSantis mere hours before her ouster.
Rotating anchors will reportedly replace Cross until executives find a permanent replacement. “Repeated bad behavior on and off-air. Bad judgment,” was the main reason she was let go, a source close to the situation told Fox News Digital.
While on the latest installment of Comedy Central’s Hell of a Week, Cross participated in a segment called “One’s Gotta Go” and in this case, the hosts were debating states. The options available were Arizona, Florida, Georgia and Pennsylvania. It didn’t take long for Cross to make things political, calling out DeSantis and accusing him of making it difficult for minorities to vote in his state.
Her response is believed to have been the final straw that led to her sudden departure from the liberal news outlet:
This was thought to be the “last straw” that got Tiffany Cross fired from MSNBC- she calls Florida, “the dick of the country”. Hours later she was let go. pic.twitter.com/JqEXTw7LxU

“I say Florida literally looks like the d**k of the country. So let’s get rid of Florida. Ron-” she said, before being interrupted by host Charlamagne Tha God.
“You’re saying castrate the d**k of the country?” he chuckled.
This is where Cross’s hatred came shining through.
“Seriously, let’s castrate Florida. Here’s the problem, Ron DeStupid, Ron DeSantis, whatever you want to call Florida Man, he is so problematic,” she whined. “The people there passed Amendment Four, which gave returning citizens, those formerly incarcerated, the right to vote. He instituted a poll tax. He has done everything he can to keep Black and brown people from the ballot. He trafficks in stupidity and ignorance and I just think they are a problem for the rest of the country. Let’s get them out.”
A few hours later, it was reported that she no longer had a job with MSNBC.
Leftists on Twitter lashed out at the news of Cross being relieved of her television duties:
Fired…heading into the weekend before the most crucial election in our history, when more than ever, progressive voices need to be heard. Draw your own conclusions.
