David DePape’s ex apologizes to Pelosis: He was ‘very much in alignment’ with my ‘very progressive views’

The nudist “ex-life partner” of the man who assaulted Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband on Friday has apologized to the speaker and her family for her former beau’s behavior.

Speaking with Bay Area station KGO via phone this weekend, Oxane “Gypsy” Taub expressed great remorse over suspect David DePape’s actions, especially given as she happens to be a huge Pelosi fan. And indeed, to hear Taub tell it, it sounds like DePape at one point used to be a fan as well.

“Well when I met him, he was only 20 years old, and he didn’t have any experience in politics, and he was very much in alignment with my views and I’ve always been very progressive. I absolutely admire Nancy Pelosi,” she said.

With this in mind, she then offered her “deepest apology” to the Pelosis.

“I would like to express my deepest apology to Nancy Pelosi and her husband for the terrible tragic thing that happened,” she said.

Listen:

As to why DePape lashed out, Taub seemed to blame it more-so on mental illness than anything else.

“He is mentally ill. He has been mentally ill for a long time,” she said.

Taub appears to be a little off as well.

Last year she was “found guilty on 20 counts, including the attempted abduction of a 14-year-old boy near his Berkeley high school,” according to KGO.

Indeed, her call actually came through from the California Institution for Women.

According to Taub, she and DePape raised two sons and a daughter together until roughly seven years ago, when her then-beau suddenly returned home one day after disappearing for a year.

“He came back in very bad shape. He thought he was Jesus. He was constantly paranoid, thinking people were after him. And it took a good year or two to get back to, you know, being halfway normal,” she said.

Neighbors also noticed DePape’s odd behavior.

“I wasn’t surprised [by DePape’s latest actions] because another crazy story is coming from someone in that house. They are always toxic and always up to something. They are always on the news and trying to be ‘activists.’ They always want to be in the spotlight,” neighbor Ryan La Coste told the New York Post.

“He usually kept to himself. He would just give us a blank stare when we would walk by. We tried to stay clear of him. … No one knew he was here because he would be on the bus or he just didn’t communicate,” Coste added.

As in this bus that DePape had occasionally lived in prior to his arrest:

The remarks from Taub and Coste point to DePape not having been some right-wing lunatic, as the media have suggsted.

If anything, some of the evidence, including Taub’s words, points to him having been somewhat of a “progressive” lunatic.

The evidence includes the fact that he lived in a Berkeley hippie commune. It also includes the myriad of left-wing signs on the commune.

“[A]n American flag with rainbow colors and marijuana leaves can be seen in front of the house. Looking closer, a handwritten ‘Black Lives Matter’ sign can be seen hanging in one of the home’s windows,” as reported by Breitbart News.

“Further, another sign posted in a different window reads, ‘Berkeley Stands United Against Hate,’ which refers to a Berkeley-based organization that aims to ‘stop the hate and implicit biases that are a dangerous threat to the safety and civility of our neighborhoods, towns and cities,'” according to Breitbart.

“What I know about the family is that they’re very radical activists. They seem very left. They are all about the Black Lives Matter movement. Gay pride. But they’re very detached from reality,” another neighbor, Trish, said to journalist Michael Shellenberger.

“They have called the cops on several of the neighbors, including us, claiming that we are plotting against them. It’s really weird to see that they are willing to be so aggressive toward somebody else who is also a lefty,” she added.

All of this is being ignored by the biased establishment press, which has predictably begun spouting a deceptive, obfuscatory narrative about how DePape was a right-wing loon who was radicalized by congressional Republicans.

From the sounds of it, he was a loon in general — one who jumped between political ideologies, as is evident if you contrast his apparent LGBT and BLM support with his reported interest in QAnon.

“The man accused of breaking into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s California home and severely beating her husband with a hammer appears to have made racist and often rambling posts online, including some that questioned the results of the 2020 election, defended former President Donald Trump and echoed QAnon conspiracy theories,” according to the Associated Press.

Not surprisingly, the one-sided report doesn’t mention any of DePape’s left-wing views.
