Democrats are still hanging on to a wing and a prayer in Florida as they hold out hope that the runaway locomotive of Governor Ron DeSantis’ reelection campaign can be derailed and the party has brought in Barack Obama, their heaviest hitter, to endorse his opponent.
The nation’s 44th president will spend the final weeks until the midterm elections stumping for candidates and the man who is the shining sun at the center of the Democrat galaxy cut an ad endorsing Charlie Crist, the flailing former governor and shameless political opportunist who jumped parties after Obama was re-elected to a second term.
In the 30 second spot endorsing Crist, Obama takes a shot at the immensely popular DeSantis who accuses of being a bully without mentioning him by name.
“Hey Florida, we have a lot of work to do. And it starts with making Charlie Crist your next governor,” Obama said. “Charlie has two things I admire. Guts and decency. Charlie Crist is fearless, guided by what’s right, even when it’s hard.”
“So if you’re ready for a governor who cares about people instead of bullying them, who will fight for voting rights, and a woman’s right to choose, who understands the challenges you’re facing every day, and who will fight for you, vote for Charlie Crist,” he said in the ad.
Thank you, @BarackObama.

It isn’t known whether Obama recorded the spot before or after the scandalous conduct by Crist and his team as they downplayed the departure of his longtime campaign chief Austin Durrer who was arrested for domestic violence in Maryland last week, dishonestly portraying his resignation as a “family matter” only to see the true reason be made public days later, hardly the “decency” that Obama is referring to but par for the course for Charlie, a cynical political operator seemingly lacking anything even remotely resembling a moral compass.

Obama’s endorsement may be too little, too late to pull Charlie’s chestnuts out of the fire because in addition to Crist’s having to reshuffle the deck chairs on his campaign in the weeks before the election after divesting himself of the woman beater, DeSantis shows no signs of slowing in his momentum.
A just-released poll by Florida Atlantic University’s Business and Economics Polling Initiative shows DeSantis with a double-digit lead on his hapless, feckless and uninspiring opponent.

“With three weeks until the election on Nov. 8, Gov. Ron DeSantis holds an 11-point over Charlie Crist (51% to 40%). Furthermore, 66% of voters expect the Governor to be re-elected,” the poll states.
In even worse news for Crist and Florida Dems, their top issue of abortion isn’t a priority of voters outside of the most radicalized dead-enders of the party’s base.

In addition to his favorability with Florida voters who remain grateful to him for not destroying their economic prospects and stomping on civil liberties using COVID as an excuse as Democrat governors did as well as his defiance of the left’s groomer cult of depravity, Gov. DeSantis has done an impressive job of addressing the damage to the Sunshine State’s Gulf Coast which was devastated by killer storm Hurricane Ian last month, a clear demonstration of why he’s the best qualified person to lead the state.
DeSantis has also added more REAL endorsements in recent days including the National Federation of Independent Business Florida PAC, the Florida Trucking Association PAC, the Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida, and the Florida Home Builders Association according to WESH.
It is probably worth noting that Obama also endorsed Democrat Andrew Gillum for Florida governor four years ago, a disgraced scoundrel whose true “decency” was exposed in a Miami Beach hotel room where he hooked up with a homosexual male escort in a nasty, drug-fueled romp that ended this political career.
