A political action committee supporting U.S. House Democrats seems to have made a highly questionable choice for someone to narrate a pro-abortion attack ad against “dangerous” Republican candidate April Becker.
In the ad embedded below, Dr. Adam Levy claims that “before Roe v. Wade, doctors saw plenty of botched back-alley abortions and far too many women died. Never did I think we’d be back here as a nation. But politicians like April Becker have led us to this moment. Becker is so anti-abortion, her extreme backers would ban all abortions, even in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother. April Becker is a dangerous threat to the women of Nevada.”
Assuming it’s the same physician, Levy allegedly has a dubious background in terms of speaking out for women’s health on behalf of the House Majority PAC.
“[T]he same doctor featured in the ad attacking Becker was once himself sued for alleged malpractice for allegedly botching an abortion in 2007 which led to a woman’s death,” Breitbart News asserted earlier this month about the medical doctor’s alleged healthcare history.
According to a purported document from the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners, the doctor was cited for “alleged negligent performance of pregnancy termination resulting in death. Patient suffered known complications — perforation of uterus.” An insurance settlement of $20,000 occurred in the alleged 2007 incident.

In a 2002 incident, a patient allegedly “suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to her labia and perenium from a hot weighted speculum used in surgery,” resulting in a settlement amount of $7,500.
The state filing also lists a $6 million settlement in an alleged 1995 incident that involved a “Brain-damaged infant as a result of a misinterpretation of a sonogram findings, resulting in clearance to deliver that patient at a birthing center.
The obstetrician-gynecologist’s resume allegedly also reportedly contains a disturbing allegation circa 1998, according to the Nevada Globe.
“The Globe received court documents that show Dr. Levy was criminally charged by the State of Nevada of sexual assault of a minor under 16 years old and lewdness with a child under 14 years old. Dr. Levy later entered an Alford Plea of Guilty to lesser counts of child abuse and neglect and was sentenced to probation. The terms of his probation include: not having contact with his victims; no possession of pornography and child pornography; and participation in a sex offender counseling program.”
Becker is challenging incumbent Democrat Susie Lee in the Las Vegas-area district in a contest that is considered a toss-up.
During this campaign season, many Democrats have ignored the massive cost-of-living crisis, and other top-tier voter concerns, while trying to politicize the sensitive issue of abortion in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision that returned it to each state to regulate.
Presumably the same physician as the person in the campaign ad, Dr. Adam Levy is an associate professor and director of the division of family planning at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology.
“Yet the House Majority PAC used Levy to attack Becker — who has not killed any women via botched abortions — as the dangerous one…Again, there is no case to be made by the House Majority PAC that, somehow, a Republican woman running for Congress is more dangerous to women than Dr. Levy allegedly has been,” Townhall.com claimed.
Rep. Lee has apparently not responded to media requests for comment about the messenger featured in the ad, but Becker has.
