The crime wave in areas ruled by Democrats continues to rage unabated with few places being harder hit than California, a state with breathtaking natural beauty that has been transformed into a dangerous, dystopian hellhole by progressive politicians and their criminal-coddling policies.
The latest incident of shocking violence to erupt was the daylight armed robbery of a jewelry store in which thieves dressed as an Amazon worker and a security guard stormed the location where they pistol-whipped an employee in a brazen robbery that was captured on surveillance video.
It was just a normal Saturday afternoon when the criminals burst into Gemma’s Jewelers in Rancho Cucamonga’s Terra Vista Town Center mall where they made off with thousands of dollars in merchandise and left the store’s owner hospitalized after she was savagely beaten.
According to the Rancho Cucamonga Police, “On Saturday, October 15, 2022, at approximately 2:40 p.m., two armed suspects entered Gemma’s Jewelers and committed an armed robbery. During the robbery, an employee was assaulted by one of the suspects, and was later treated and released from a local hospital. The suspects fled the location with several thousand dollars worth of stolen jewelry. ”

“He was ready to kill me,” said Margarita Pereda, owner of Gemma’s Jewelers who recounted the terrifying moments to KTLA on the criminal’s reaction as she set off the alarm.
“He said, ‘Hell no!’ and he came in straight with the gun very close to my face, and I defend myself,” said Perada who has owned the store for over two decades. “It’s a miracle. He was ready to kill me.”
“You had an open wound on the back of your head?” Asked the reporter of the injury that she suffered when she was pistol-whipped.
“That’s correct,” she said. “I had to go to the hospital, yes. I was bleeding a lot, I was thinking I’m not going to make it because there was blood everywhere.”
Pereda told the outlet that she was surprised that the two robbers were dressed as an Amazon employee and a security guard.
Asked whether she believed that the laws are so weak that criminals have been emboldened, she said “Of course. Definitely” also saying that the violent incident isn’t going to driver her out of business. “I’m not gonna be afraid to close my doors. No no no no no,” she said. “I’m keeping going, sir.”
Fox News Los Angeles caught up with employees who worked at the Target next door to Gemma’s Jewelers who spoke of the violent incident.
“I was just working and pulling some carts, and I saw a bunch of policemen and the lady [employee] seemed hurt. It does make you feel a little unsafe knowing stuff like that is happening,” Leonardo Franco told the outlet. “Even in the video, seeing that they (the suspects) are disguised [is scary]. One of the suspects is in Amazon [jacket], and another looked like security. Clearly they planned this.”
“Actually seeing the video, that broke my heart,” said Mia Spera, another employee. “Honestly when he got physical with her, that was really sad, because you can threaten someone and not even touch them, but the fact that he actually started hitting her, that was like oh my gosh that’s really sad.”
The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department announced that three suspects have been arrested.
