'The definition of fascism': Dean Cain doubles down over backlash to Tim Allen's soft rebuke of the 'woke'

Tim Allen tweeted a playful jab on Monday and spent two days getting dogpiled by the humorless Left. Then Dean Cain joined “Fox and Friends” on Tuesday to join the fun.

The woke mob’s message is that you should “shut your mouth, stay in line, or you’ll be canceled,” said Cain.

“It’s complete victim culture,” he continued. “That’s your new red badge of courage… The weird, ironic thing to me is that those who are screaming about inclusivity and acceptance want dissenting voices silenced. They do not want free speech. That’s the definition of fascism.”

We hear the phrase “Twitter melts down” fairly often, but it is usually an exaggeration intended to get people to pay attention and engage on a topic.

But Twitter really melted down on Monday after Allen’s tweet. And Tuesday. You can scroll for hours. Here is the harmless tweet that drew such a malicious crowd:

Oh, the temerity of Tim Allen! How could he (so hilariously) poke fun at the ruling class? That is who the woke are, after all.

As Dean Cain said, “Comedy is supposed to make fun of those in power. That’s the whole idea. And the woke are certainly in power on social media, big tech, and the White House.”

And he could have continued – in the academy, in science and medicine, in Hollywood, in corporations, in print media and network news… everywhere. Woke is the monopoly. Woke is the oligarchy. Woke-ism is the real home of the privileged and the entitled.

It’s funny when someone comments on the woke culture and the woke go nuts. Tim Allen had tweet that sent the liberals over the edge, but Dean Cain spoke the truth when he said the woke are the perfect example of fascism. They want silence decent in order to keep power.Hypocrisy

Cain, the 56-year-old actor who played Superman opposite the incomparable Teri Hatcher in the 90s, called Allen “uncancellable.”

“[He’s] incredibly funny, he’s incredibly accomplished, he’s uncancellable and that makes people on Twitter and elsewhere go bananas. He has achieved huge fame, and he can say what he wants to.”

Cain has been bouncing on this hobby horse for a while. In 2020, he said, “This cancel culture within Hollywood…is McCarthyism, and it’s threatening people [by saying], ‘Look, I’m going to take away your ability to make a living, your livelihood, if you don’t toe the party line.’ And it’s not going to end well, I promise you.”

For millions of people on the right, the problem is not that the woke have such a negative response to Tim Allen and other normals. It’s their right to have those reactions, and they know it. The problem is that those wokesters, whose free speech has not been in any way abrogated, want those with opposing views silenced and punished.

But facts are stubborn things. A silent, or at least comparatively quiet majority is woke to woke-ism.

Disney goes woke, attempts to cancel Tim Allen by removing him from the Toy Story franchise. Buzz Lightyear releases without Tim Allen. Movie bombs horribly, taking a huge loss. The public didn’t want woke, they wanted Tim Allen. How’s that working out for you,?

Ironically, the woke are the ones who are said to have courage. Any objective analysis would tout the courage of those standing against the majority. Tim Allen, Dean Cain, and others on the Right who speak out are the skinny guy standing in front of a tank in Tiananmen Square in 1989. By contrast, it takes no courage whatsoever to be woke.

The substance of the uprising against the real voice of Buzz Lightyear seems to be compassion for the downtrodden. Untold numbers of tweets display pictures and say “this is the face of woke.”

On balance, the woke have worse grammar on Twitter than the non-woke. “Me & my family are the face of woke.” If you’d like to be taken seriously, attend to your syntax. Unfortunately, nobody cares about language anymore, which is part of why American culture has been lost. The grandeur of the English language really isn’t being taught in public schools anymore. But at least students are reading pornographic books and learning to hate America.

One more thing. The Left have a wretched habit of taking respected people from history and superimposing their own views on them. Here is an absolutely disgusting example from Tuesday:

They have a faulty memory of who Martin Luther King, Jr. was. They would cancel him today. But he’s no threat while dead, so they desecrate his memory instead.
