Police blast ‘disgusting act’ of rigging Democrat campaign signs with razor blades with intent to harm

Police in Pennsylvania condemned (presumably) Democrats for the “totally unacceptable” and “disgusting act” in response to a dangerous campaign stunt that left one homeowner with cuts to their hands.

The Upper Makefield Police Department confiscated several campaign signs promoting Democrats John Fetterman, running for U.S. Senate; Josh Shapiro, running for governor, and Ashley Ehasz, running for U.S. House of Representatives that had been placed in a resident’s yard without permission.

While shady placement is run of the mill, rigging the signs to inflict pain if removed is a new low for Democratic candidates.

According to police, the signs were lined with razor blades intended to prevent removal or vandalism.

“Over the past election cycles, we have dealt with theft of signs, vandalism of signs, neighbor disputes, etc. but this is the first time we have dealt with this situation. What happened here is totally unacceptable and a disgusting act for which a resident ended up slicing their fingers,” UMPD wrote in a statement.

Police warn this may not be an isolated incident and encourage residents to be vigilant.

“The investigation is on-going and we would like to ask residents that if you find signs on your property that have been placed there without permission, to please inspect them prior to their removal,” the statement read. “If any implements have been installed on the signs, please contact us immediately.”

The statement ended with a reprimand for the “depraved” behavior.

“No matter your political affiliation, no matter your candidate preference, resorting to this type of depravity is unacceptable and criminal. We can do better and must,” UMPD wrote in their FB post responding to the Democrats’ dangerous campaign practice.

All three Democratic candidates are up for election in the November 8 midterms.

Fetterman has polled poorly since surviving a stroke in May with many questioning his fitness for office. The lieutenant governor often struggles to find words and his missteps have alienated voters who once supported the 53-year-old opponent of Dr. Mehmet Oz.

“John Fetterman is a trust fund kid. He took money from his parents deep into middle age when he decided finally what he would like to do with the rest of his life, which is to be the U.S. senator from Pennsylvania,” Fox News host Tucker Carlson said on October 12.

“The problem is fate intervened and he can now no longer speak. He had a bad stroke and we feel bad about that. Everyone does, but because of that stroke, Fetterman now needs electronic assistance in order to communicate with other people. He can’t talk on his own. It’s not a right-wing conspiracy theory. It’s not QAnon. It’s real,” Carlson said.

Democrats have rallied around Fetterman likely because he will be an easily controlled mouthpiece for the Left, Carlson said, comparing him to President Joe Biden whose gaffes and mental misfires have led some to question whether the president has dementia.

Fetterman has repeatedly denied media access to his physicians and medical records.
