Legendary conservative actor Jon Voight ripped the Biden regime and Democrats in general for the great damage that they’ve done to America by reversing the policies of former President Donald J. Trump, a man whom he has loyally supported for his uncompromising patriotism.
The 83-year-old Academy Award winner, whose storied career has spanned seven decades during which he has starred in movies and television, sat down for an interview with Newsmax TV where he assessed the state of the nation and the ongoing destruction being done by the Democrat wrecking crew.
As a longtime resident of California, the state which has been hardest hit by the left’s extremist policies, Voight was able to draw on his lifetime of experience to put the sad decline of the Golden State in perspective.
“I’ve lived here since the 70s, so I’ve seen it accumulate,” he said. “The homeless problem, the economic problem here, and mismanagement of the state. It’s gotten worse recently now, I mean this is a tremendous place, California. It’s the fifth largest economy in the world, we should be taking care of it and to see it being destroyed in this way, people are leaving in droves and somebody’s got to come to the rescue here.”

When asked by Newsmax host Rob Schmitt what the answer is to the state’s horrific problems, he responded, “The answer is leadership. You have to have proper leadership to have to have people who really want to solve something, and unfortunately we don’t have those kind of people,” an obvious shot at far-left extremist Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Voight then turned to the problems on a national level.
“We had President Trump,” he said. “Take a look at the problems when he came into office, and he solved them, one after another, because he’s a person who’s a doer and he’s a problem solver. And therefore you accomplished all those things. And now we have another person in office, and they’re systematically just eliminating all of the progress that he made, right? That’s their agenda.”
“This election is very important,” Voight later said, referring to the midterms. “It’s all very serious and I don’t know when it’s going to turn around but I’m sure it’s going to turn around. I’m sure, little by little, it’s going to turn around.”
“Look at what’s happening all over the world,” he added. “People are standing up. People are standing up here, too. Parents are taking on this responsibility of standing up against the attacks on family, you know, and on their children.”
After expressing reluctance to talk about his state’s governor, Voight eventually remarked, “Gavin Newsom has failed our state, and now they’re grooming him to run for the presidency. They have nobody else.”
Voight has appeared in such iconic classics as Deliverance, Midnight Cowboy, Heat, Runaway Train, Enemy Of The State, and Coming Home which he won the Best Actor Oscar for his stunning portrayal of a paraplegic Vietnam war vet starring opposite “Hanoi” Jane Fonda. He’s also acted in television including a long-running role in the series Ray Donovan as the title character’s father Mickey Donovan.
During his long career in Hollywood, Voight initially fell under the sway of the left but eventually saw their true colors, an experience that he described in captivating detail.

Voight was honored by Trump with the National Medal of Arts in 2019 and continues to speak out against the left’s ruinous agenda.
