Despite public apathy and the humiliating primary loss of chief attack dog Liz Cheney, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s hand-picked J6 committee avengers will assemble for a pre-election spectacle during which they will attempt to recreate former President Donald J. Trump’s state of mind in what could be its grand finale if Republicans are able to retake control of the House in the upcoming midterm elections.
“We’re going to bring a particular focus on the former president’s state of mind and his involvement in these events as they unfolded,” a committee aide told Fox News Digital. “What you’re going to see is a synthesis of some evidence we’ve already presented with new, never-before-seen information to illustrate Donald Trump’s centrality was key.”
The Thursday afternoon hearing will “not include live witnesses but rather showcase new evidence from U.S. Secret Service records and testimony as well as video of efforts to respond to the violence in real time,” according to the aide.
“The committee will try to recreate the former president’s state of mind leading up to and during the riot, despite his refusal to cooperate with the committee. Trump has not only rejected overtures to testify before the panel, but he has called on allies and former staffs to do likewise,” Fox News reported.
It will be the ninth public hearing for the committee which is comprised of retreads from the failed impeachments, two anti-Trump Republicans whose congressional careers are kaput, and Rep. Bennie Thompson, a race-obsessed Democrat who opened the hearings by likening the so-called “insurrection” to slavery, the KKK and lynching.

While the committee was breathlessly hyped for over a year since the chaos at the Capitol and was heavily promoted by the media which regularly featured members who didn’t even bother to conceal the ax that they have to grind with the former POTUS, the ratings were a disaster with Americans having more pressing things to be concerned about than a petty partisan witch hunt, first and foremost, the one-two gut punch of staggering gas and food prices inflicted upon them as a result of Democrat policies.
The hearing is also expected to link Trump to groups that participated in the protest that went badly off the rails.
“There are close ties between people in Trump world and some of these extremist groups,” Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a California Democrat, said in an interview with CNN. “We will touch upon that.”
“We’re going to be going through, really some of what we’ve already found, but augmenting with new material that we’ve discovered through our work throughout this summer,” Lofgren told Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday’s edition of “Situation Room” where she teased a potential smoking gun to J6 dead-enders.
“It will be worth watching. There’s some new material, you know, that I found as we got into it, pretty surprising,” added the impeachment veteran.
Lofgren’s fellow J6 committee member and impeachment loser Rep. Jamie Raskin also promoted the hearing to Blitzer and will argue that Trump remains a “clear and present danger” to “democracy” a term that no longer even remotely resembles its true meaning in the context that it is repeatedly invoked as a talking point to cloak the extremist agenda of Democrats and their determination to hold onto political power by any means necessary.

Republicans have repeatedly pointed out the unfairness of Pelosi’s sham inquisition in which the deck has been completely stacked against Trump and his associates.
“The committee operates with the same kind of bias present at the Salem witch trials,” said Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona, according to Fox News. “Everyone is guilty and must demonstrate their innocence.”
The hearing will be the first since Cheney, its scowling public face received her comeuppance in August’s Wyoming primary where she was pulverized by her Trump-endorsed challenger by voters who sent a message to the child of D.C. privilege on where their priorities are, leading her to double down on her vendetta against the former president by suggesting a 2024 White House run that will thrill the Beltway elite but be a complete turnoff to ordinary Americans.
Thursday’s hearing will also be the first held by the committee since Trump’s residence at his Mar-a-Lago resort was invaded by dozens of agents who were dispatched to confiscate “classified” documents and other materials by Attorney General Merrick Garland, a man who has abused his power to weaponize the federal law enforcement apparatus against political enemies of the ruling Democrats including concerned parents at school board meetings.
Cheney’s brutal loss stripped away the fig leaf of “bipartisanship” for Pelosi’s kangaroo court but they will continue to throw things against the wall hoping that something will stick until the sham committee is disbanded and chucked into the trashcan of history.
