Fox News hosts Jessica Tarlov and Jesse Watters mixed it up during a conversation about how President Joe Biden’s unpopularity has rendered him practically invisible as Democrat candidates scratch and claw to keep their ruling one-party congressional majority in the upcoming midterm elections.
During the lively segment in which Watters detailed how Biden’s presence on the campaign trail is treated like the kiss of death, the loopy Tarlov celebrated after she thought that she scored a major point against her conservative colleague, however it wasn’t quite the victory that she thought it was.

On Monday’s edition of “The Five,” the topic turned to the radioactive Biden and his being a drag on his party’s hopes of retaining their stranglehold on political power as Americans go to the polls in what will be a referendum on the disastrous policies of the regime which have led to staggering inflation, high energy costs, unprecedented shortages, a loss of national stature and the looming threat of nuclear Armageddon, not exactly a positive sales pitch.
“Try selling a house that someone died in,” Watters said. “Can’t do it. It won’t sell. It spooks the customers. That’s what the Democrats are going through right now.”
“These approval ratings are abysmal. Biden’s down, he’s 18 underwater, in Arizona. Minus 20 in Georgia! Minus 17 in Nevada, minus 24 points in Ohio! It is so bad. He is a political skunk,” he continued. “It’s like no matter how many showers the Democrats take, they can’t wash the stink off of them.”
“Trump, Obama, Bush, I remember they used to go out and barnstorm in September and October,” he added, pointing out that former presidents were able to rouse the faithful in advance of elections. “They used to go around to these, hold up their hands ‘all right!’ Have you seen Joe Biden do that one time?”
“Has Joe Biden held an actual rally for a real contender since Labor Day?” Watters asked. “No! No! You haven’t seen any images like that. I dare you to fact-check me. Doctors don’t want him out there, on there either. He can’t be flying all over the country right now, he can’t do two consecutive days of traveling.”
“The only person that wants him to campaign for her, Stacey Abrams, and Biden’s not even going to campaign for her because he doesn’t want to be associated with a loser, because even he knows she’s going down,” he said, referring to the enormously unlikable Georgia Dem gubernatorial hopeful.
“It’s so bad and now the Democrats are like, they keep getting asked the same question, ‘do you want Joe Biden to campaign for you?'” he said mockingly. “Fresh blood, here’s what fresh blood was about. If Joe Biden’s political approval rating’s at 53 percent, no one’s talking about fresh blood. They’re giving Joe a transfusion. They love Joe and these other Democrats that are kind of young looking, they just want fresh blood because they want more seniority. They want bigger, you know, positions in the House and Senate, that’s what it’s all about.”
Co-host Jeanine Pirro then gave Tarlov an opening, “Jessica, I think you are chomping at the bit.”
“So, Joe Biden was out with John Fetterman who is in one of the closest races,” she said, referring to the Pennsylvania senatorial candidate who, like Biden, has become known for his bizarre gaffes and mental misfires.
“That was a Labor Day event,” Watters shot back. “That was no rally.”
“Fact check – I won that one,” Tarlov jubilantly declared.
“That was Labor Day,” Watters replied. “What’s that – a month ago?”
Biden stumped for Fetterman at a sparsely attended event near Pittsburgh on Labor Day but has been a veritable ghost when it comes to holding rallies with other Democrats in close races.
