Judge Jeanine lays into Gov Hochul over long rap sheet of gunman who killed father at Marist College

New York Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul and, by extension, an array of social justice-obsessed, pandering progressives bear responsibility for the random murder of Long Island dad Paul Kutz.

That is the assessment of impassioned Fox News host Jeanine Pirro.

In what appears to have been a preventable crime, Kutz, 53, who was remembered as a salt-of-the-earth person, was tragically shot and killed inside the lobby of the Courtyard by Marriott in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., after attending the Marist College Family weekend.

The accountant who was a father of three was merely grabbing a cup of coffee and preparing to check out of the hotel at about 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 2, when he was gunned down.

According to NBC New York, the suspect “was labeled a criminal fugitive by the sheriff’s office in Fulton County, Georgia, after he allegedly skipped court after his arrest on felony gun and cocaine dealing charges. The sheriff’s office said a warrant for his arrest was put into a national database in July….Weeks later, in August, [he] was being investigated in the Poughkeepsie city area as a key suspect in connection with a gang-related murder…Meanwhile, [the suspect] remained free on the street for months.”

According to Fox News, the suspect was on a “decade-long crime spree.”

The suspect now faces charges of second-degree murder and weapons possession and is being held in the Dutchess County, N.Y., jail.

In a discussion with “The Story” host Martha MacCallum, Judge Jeanine condemned the soft-on-crime, criminals as victims, mindset of the New York Democrat hierarchy, including the previously obscure Lt. governor who became the state’s chief executive by default when disgraced Andrew Cuomo stepped down.

“Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York, who is he running for the first time to be governor of New York, is aiding and abetting this kind of behavior. Make no mistake, that Kathy Hochul as the governor of the state of New York has the power to remove [district attorneys] who are refusing to prosecute cases,” Pirro declared.

“But there were a lot of questions when a guy who has a prior felony conviction is wanted in Georgia. He’s wanted not on an arrest warrant; he’s wanted on a bench warrant. That means that he was arrested, he was brought in, and then he fled.

“He was brought in on cocaine dealing, as well as possession of an AR-15 that have been defaced. He was also the main suspect in a homicide in Poughkeepsie which is where Marist College is…if the guy is a suspect in a homicide in Poughkeepsie. If he is wanted in Georgia; he was put in that national database in July in Georgia. The homicide in Poughkeepsie that he’s being looked at happened in August. So if he is a suspect in August why didn’t they know he was wanted in Georgia in July? They had that information at their fingertips. They could have arrested him; he could have been extradited,” she claimed.

“All they had to do is pick up the phone and say to Georgia, ‘we’ve got one of your fugitives already convicted of at least one felony. You want him on another felony. We’ll hold him for at least two weeks. Come and get him.’ That’s all they had to do, and this man would not be dead.”

Pirro then pivoted to pointing out that radical ideology has real-world consequences. “This is because of the left; it’s because of cashless bail; it’s because of prosecutors who don’t believe in enforcing and prosecuting crimes…this isn’t social justice; this is anarchy and chaos gone awry. And it can happen to any of us…”

The progressives “don’t want anyone in jail waiting for trial” even if they are a danger to the community.

An equally outraged MacCallum implied that people who have repeatedly broken the “social contract” belong behind bars.

GOP U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin, a law-and-order champion, is attempting to unseat Hochul in the deep blue state.

The governor has yet to comment about the Kutz murder, according to Fox News.

All suspects are presumed innocent until or unless they are convicted in a court of law of any alleged crimes.
