Ex Jan 6 DC cop Fanone gets specific in F-bomb rant, says he resembles ‘Trump-supporting hillbilly’

Ex-D.C. cop Michael Fanone engaged in some serious anti-GOP pandering to the liberal audience of Rolling Stone magazine in a lengthy, and somewhat pointless, article published on Sunday.

Fanone, who tends to drop F-bombs in almost every sentence as if that’s cool, and has a book coming out in convenient timing, seemed to reserve his most critical, although kind of obscure, comments in the profile for U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), the House minority leader and possible Speaker in waiting.

“I think at night, when the lights are turned off, Abe Lincoln and Ronald Reagan have some pretty choice words to say about the fact that they have to hang on Kevin McCarthy’s wall. They did some f—-g above-average things. And they’ve got to adorn the wall of this f—–g weasel b-tch named Kevin McCarthy, with his fake f—–g spray-on tan, whose f—-g claim to fame, at least in my eyes, is the fact that he amassed a collection of Donald Trump’s favorite-flavored Starburst, put them in a Mason jar, and presented them to f—-g Donald Trump. What the f–k, dude?”

There are conservatives who believe that McCarthy is not up to the job of running the House if he gets the gavel after next month’s elections and that he is otherwise insufficiently America First.

But if spray tan is a deal breaker, the halls of Congress are going to become quite empty let alone TV studios like CNN and others.

Fanone, who says he voted for Trump in 2016, also threw shade on U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, whom he placed in “the tinfoil-hat brigade” and without evidence, smeared U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz as “a f—–g pedo.” In addition, he used the five-letter b-word to describe U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.).

Fanone was seriously injured in responding to the January 6, 2021, melee at the U.S. Capitol and rose to prominence for his testimony before the House committee investigating events that occurred on that day.

According to Rolling Stone, Fanone is also “tired of liberals who back the blue only on Jan. 6 and conservatives who back the blue only when it comes to policing people of color…”

Fanone praised, sort of, U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), a member of the partisan J6 committee. “I’m sorry, dude. I love Jamie Raskin — he’s a really nice guy — but he is not designed for what lies ahead, and nor are the other super-intellectual types.”

Ironically, Raskin, a former constitutional law professor who represents a deep-blue district in the Montgomery County area just outside of D.C., was one of the members of the so-called Congressional Progressive Caucus who objected to President Trump’s 2016 win. He even bragged about it on Twitter.

In more self-serving content, Fanone told Rolling Stone that “I’m cognizant of the fact that I talk like a f—g redneck…I like guns, I go hunting, I f—-g drink beer from a can some places that I shouldn’t drink beer from a can at, and I’m kind of a caricature of what people think of when they think of a Trump-supporting hillbilly.”
