The media is putting much effort in trying to push Democrat candidate John Fetterman across the finish line in the Pennsylvania Senate race despite his obvious unsuitability and lingering questions about his ability to function at a high level after his stroke, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes checked in on him to see how he’s doing after a bizarre Friday tweet from his campaign.
If the idea of providing the hulking, baldheaded, tattooed left-wing radical a friendly platform on Friday’s edition of “All In With Chris Hayes” was to assure voters that Fetterman was firing on all cylinders, it badly failed with the senatorial hopeful giving a peculiar answer that mangled his own social media team’s ill-advised tweet about kicking DC “in the balls.”

“Lt. Governor, It’s great to have you,” Hayes said. “I have not gotten an opportunity to speak to you on air since your, your stroke and since your primary victory, and first, I just wanted to check in and see how, how you’re feeling and how you’re doing.”
“I’m doing fan.. I’m doing fantastic,” Fetterman responded. “and, and uh, it’s not about kicking balls in the authority or anything, but I always like to say that if Dr. Oz says something and I can sell it on t-shirts and raise money for our campaign then it’s a good day for us.”
“Whether it’s kicking balls or crudités,” he added. “We actually made half a million dollars off crudités so, you know, thank you Dr. Oz.”
The reference to ball kicking was to his team’s tweet of an animated Fetterman delivering a kick to the crotch of stick figure representing corrupt politicians with the message that, ” DC could use a kick in the balls 🤷♂️,” along with audio of his Republican opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz who remarked that the Democrat’s unconventional wardrobe was like “kicking authority in the balls.”
What was completely lost on Team Fetterman is that D.C. is under total control of Democrats, his own political party.

Fetterman’s nonsensical answer was mocked on Twitter.
“Like what on earth is that response???” Asked Steve Guest, Special Advisor for Communications for Sen. Ted Cruz.
“This has to be the funniest thing I’ve seen this cycle,” wrote GOP Deputy Communications Director Nathan Brand.
MSNBC host: “I just wanted to check in and see how you’re doing.”

Holy cow !!!
Sympathy for the mentally disabled is one thing, but pretending this guys disability doesn't exclude him from a job with real life responsibilities to other people is insane. https://t.co/Od7dtJICGL— Melinda (@MellyTaySmiles) October 1, 2022
Yeah, he’ll do fine with a budget and legislative duties…don’t worry about it. 😉

“As you know, I had a stroke,” Fetterman told the crowd at a Saturday rally in Pittsburgh.” Oh and I’m so grateful to be here today now after surviving that better and better, you know?”
However, his short speech was marked by the same issues that have raised questions about his ability to function in the Washington D.C. pressure cooker for six years.
John Fetterman spoke for only 12 minutes today at a 2-hour rainy day rally in Pittsburgh. Fetterman began his short speech addressing his stroke and "auditory processing," the "only lingering issue" he has. At times, Fetterman paused and struggled with some words. pic.twitter.com/MeooNWmmqW

“You know, the only lingering issue that I have after that stroke is sometimes auditory processing, sometimes. And, every now and then, I might miss a word or, sometimes, you know, I might mush two words together,” he said.
The Democratic party machine and its dutiful apparatchiks in the media have their work cut out for them to keep Fetterman from imploding with just over five weeks to go until decision day.
