Tudor Dixon uses kidnap plot to jab Whitmer’s COVID policies: ‘Good at taking businesses hostage’

Remarks by Michigan GOP gubernatorial hopeful Tudor Dixon attacking her opponent Governor Gretchen Whitmer over her draconian COVID policies while making light of the alleged kidnapping plot against her raised the hackles of leftists who cried foul.

Dixon is fighting an uphill battle against the authoritarian incumbent as voters with short memories of Whitmer’s reign of terror during the darkest days of the pandemic are set to reward her with another term and during a campaign event, used the scheme to jab her over the punishing treatment of small businesses.

“The sad thing is that Gretchen will tie your hands, put a gun to your head and ask if you’re ready to talk,” Dixon said at an event. “For someone so worried about being kidnapped, Gretchen Whitmer sure is good at taking business hostage and holding it for ransom,” the candidate said during a campaign event in Troy on Friday afternoon.

The Wolverine State lockdown queen’s office immediately issued a statement blasting Tudor’s remarks as a threat to “democracy” which is the term that has been bastardized by Democrats to cloak their extremist agenda and to demonize anyone who rejects it as enemies of the state.

“Threats of violence and dangerous rhetoric undermine our democracy and discourage good people on both sides of the aisle at every level from entering public service. Governor Whitmer has faced serious threats to her safety and her life, and she is grateful to the law enforcement and prosecutors for their tireless work,” the statement read. “Threats of violence — whether to Governor Whitmer or to candidates and elected officials on the other side of the aisle — are no laughing matter, and the fact that Tudor Dixon thinks it’s a joke shows that she is absolutely unfit to serve in public office.”

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel was triggered by Dixon’s comments.

“This statement is repugnant. @GovWhitmer is the victim of a very serious plot to kidnap and assassinate her. Anyone who would make light of such an effort is not fit to hold public office at any level,” Whitmer’s ruthless henchwoman wrote on Twitter.

Dixon returned fire, “From the woman who wants a drag queen in every classroom…”

Other leftists railed against Dixon on Twitter and her remarks were hysterically reported on by mainstream media outlets including CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post, all of which are in the bag for the Democratic Party as has been well-established.

To say that the government’s case against the would-be kidnappers is problematic would be a huge understatement with allegations of paid FBI informants, entrapment, and a lead agent who was arrested after he brutally beat his wife’s head against a nightstand during a violent argument over his taking her to a swinger’s party earlier in the evening.

A recent poll shows that Whitmer has opened up a double-digit lead on Tudor, yet another reminder that Democrat voters place a higher priority on remaining in good standing with the political cult than their own economic wellbeing and even their own freedom which was stolen away by their governor under the pretense of a public health crisis.

The two are set for a high-stakes debate next month in Grand Rapids but the media is going for the knockout punch after Dixon’s trivializing of the alleged kidnapping scheme.
