Self-described “woke administrator,” Kelisa Wing, vanished from Twitter when her account was put on private. Her LinkedIn account has apparently been deleted. This after making insensitive remarks about white people on Twitter, calling them “Karens.”
Wing is the chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).
CAUdacity. Caucasian audacity. Could she be more condescending or caustic?
Mocking someone who said that black people can be racist too, Wing unwittingly proved her right.
“I had to stop the session and give Karen the BUSINESS,” she wrote in a tweet from 2020.
Apparently, Wing’s professional assessment of the military’s need for diversity, equity and inclusion called for the ridicule of white people on the basis of their whiteness. Nothing ironic about that.
The tweet continued, “[W]e are not the majority, we don’t have power.”
For those making the assertion that blacks cannot be racist, this has been the nonsensical refrain. And it is an odd statement since Wing is speaking from a position of power. And not just any position of power. She has the power to make policy for the entire military, most notably including the curriculum. One wonders if she part of the process of determining who gets promoted or assigned to certain posts.
In a different exchange, Wing responded to a tweet that said, “I am exhausted by 99% of the white men in education and 95% of the white women. Where can I get a break from white nonsense for a while?”
Wing, as someone responsible for easing the tensions between races, responded, “If another Karen tells me about her feelings… I might lose it…” That seems uniquely productive.
Before it was deleted, Wing’s LinkedIn account profile showed 16 years at the DoD and a December 2021 promotion to her current post as DEI chief. At the time of her promotion, the DoD issued a statement saying that Wing “has been involved with diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for… schools over many years, authoring several books on the topic.”
Indeed, a search on Amazon for Wing’s books will quickly display a series under the banner, “Racial Justice in America.” A sample of her titles include “What Is the Black Lives Matter Movement?”, “What Does It Mean to Defund the Police”, “Atrocities in Action,” and “Juneteenth”.
In her book “What is White Privilege?” Wing helpfully says that “White privilege hurts a lot of people. If you are White you might feel bad about hurting others or you might feel afraid to lose this privilege.” She goes on to assert the need for White people to confess their privilege and admit that their actions have hurt Black people by being benefactors of unearned advantages.
Does that sound like progress? We should be able to get well from the malady of American racism in no time with spokespersons like that on the case.
In May 2020, Wing wrote an article entitled, “Teachers Must Hold Themselves Accountable for Dismantling Racial Oppression,” in which she claimed that “racism is ingrained in the very fabric of our country.”
When a Twitter user criticized the article, Wing’s imperious response was reprehensible:
“Bye Karen,” Wing responded to the user.
If you have ever wondered who “the queen of Karens” is, Wing has answered that question for us – it’s former Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos.
Or, if you have wondered if there is, anywhere in the world, a “whole boy version of a Karen”, Wing has served us all by announcing that there is – former President Donald Trump.
Twitter users not enamored of the DEI assertions of the day have not been silenced entirely yet.
This pathological racist is a chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), Kelisa Wing…

It has yet to be explained how black people cannot be racist. Especially when DEI officers everywhere keep proving that they indeed can be.
