TX Dem makes insurrection-y claim GOP’s Mayra Flores ‘stole’ House seat in special election

When it comes to questioning the results of elections, there are two sets of rules that are unfairly applied to Democrats as opposed to everyone else in a country where unequal justice under the law has become the new normal.

To prove that point, one need look to Rep. Vicente Gonzalez of Texas who is so terrified of his Republican opponent in the upcoming midterm elections that he is falsely claiming that Rep. Mayra Flores “stole” her House seat by winning a special election in June, stunning observers by pulling it off in a district that has traditionally gone for Democrats, a race seen as a bellwether for November.

Flores has become a rising star in GOP politics with Hispanics turning away from the party of sexual degeneracy and socialism in record numbers, a big problem for Gonzalez who by virtue of redistricting, has to face off with her for all the marbles in the Lone Star State’s 34th Congressional District.

During a campaign event at a Brownsville watering hole where Gonzalez was joined by brazen liar and conspiracy monger Rep. Adam Schiff, the congressman stuck to the script, portraying the race as a part of the battle to save “democracy” and spewing the falsehood that Flores and her supporters didn’t prevail in the special election through legitimate means.

“Our democracy is at stake,” railed Gonzalez at Shotz bar, “There’s millions and millions of dollars from outside our region and outside our state that are coming here to try to steal our elections and take away your value and take away the process that we rely on, which is elections. And we don’t have the resources to compete with these outside resources. We can’t compete with the Koch brothers, we can’t compete with big oil, and big tobacco, and the NRA. They can outspend us, but they can’t outwork us.”

“They stole that last election,” Gonzalez falsely claimed. “They spent $3 million to our $250,000, they campaigned for two years, and they still only won by less than one percent. So, the way to turn this around is getting out and vote.”

The lies didn’t seem to bother Schiff, a notorious super spreader of fibs who also spoke at the event, according to Fox News.

“The work you’re doing to support our Democratic institutions, the infrastructure of our elections, the rule of law, the rule of law applies to everyone equally could not be more important,” said Schiff. “It’s been such a pleasure to meet so many of you and thank you for all you’re doing to support my wonderful colleague.”

Gonzalez posted pictures of himself with “shifty” Schiff on Twitter.

Flores punched back hard, “Just yesterday a Democrat Representative claimed an election was stolen. That’s right, Vicente Gonzalez along with Adam Schiff claimed that our win in #TX34 was stolen. Vicente Gonzalez is an election denier and we will earn our win again in November!” She wrote on Twitter, using the Democrats’ own language against her opponent.

The race has already been marked by nastiness on the part of Gonzalez who was accused of hiring a Democrat blogger to post disparaging and racist messages about Flores, including among other things, mocking her as “Miss Frijoles” and accusing her of being a “cotton-picking liar” among other insults.

“Gonzalez’s campaign wrote a $1,200 check to The McHale Report blog June 24 for ‘advertising services,’ according to the Democrat’s Federal Election Commission finance report,” NBC News reported.

In a Twitter statement, Gonzalez denied that his campaign paid for the attack ads smearing Flores.
