Alex Berenson delivers brutal Covid vaccine recap: ‘Among the greatest medical, scientific, and ethical failures of all time’

Dissident journalist Alex Berenson has gone viral for arguing that the rush by governments across the world to disseminate the COVID vaccine will one day “be viewed as among the greatest medical, scientific, and ethical failures of all time.”

He expressed this perspective in a set of tweets posted Sunday morning.

Are his claims valid, though?

The first one is that the COVID vaccine was “intentionally designed to FOOL our immune systems in order so it could deliver a payload of unnaturally modified mRNA into our cells and hijack their protein-building machinery.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the COVID vaccines do involve mRNA being injected into people’s bloodstream and affecting their “protein-building machinery,” as Berenson calls it.

“After vaccination, the mRNA will enter the muscle cells. Once inside, they use the cells’ machinery to produce a harmless piece of what is called the spike protein. The spike protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19. After the protein piece is made, our cells break down the mRNA and remove it, leaving the body as waste,” the CDC notes.

“Next, our cells display the spike protein piece on their surface. Our immune system recognizes that the protein does not belong there. This triggers our immune system to produce antibodies and activate other immune cells to fight off what it thinks is an infection. This is what your body might do if you got sick with COVID-19. At the end of the process, our bodies have learned how to help protect against future infection with the virus that causes COVID-19.”

Notice how the CDC describes the spike protein as “harmless.” Berenson staunchly disagrees with this characterization.

Critics like Berenson believe the spike protein is responsible for the wide number of vaccine injuries that have been reported. But government authorities say otherwise.

His second claim is that COVID vaccine testing found that it does successfully “hijack” people’s immune system, but that it does so without any “overall positive impact on health.”

Government authorities say this is false and that the vaccine does reduce death by a significant margin.

The problem is government authorities likewise used to claim that the COVID vaccine and its boosters reduce the transmissibility of the vaccine.

But during a CNN interview in January, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky was forced to finally admit that no, this isn’t the case.

“Our vaccines are working exceptionally well. They continue to work well for Delta with regard to sever illness and death. They prevent it. … What they can’t do anymore is prevent transmission. So if you’re going home to somebody who has not been vaccinated, somebody who can’t get vaccinated … I would suggest you wear a mask in a public indoor setting,” she said.

Lastly, Berenson bemoaned the world’s governments distributing the vaccine to over a billion people, despite COVID having “posed only a minor risk to most of them.”

This claim is also in dispute. On one hand, only a small percentage of the world’s population died. But on the other hand, this small percentage still represented 6.5 million people and counting, roughly a million of which came from the U.S.

However, critics like Berenson say these numbers are comparable to the number of people who die globally and in the U.S. from other diseases and conditions.

Critics also allege that the total U.S. death rate hasn’t been that much noticably higher in  2020 and 2021 than in previous years.

But again, government authorities disagree …
