Driving sexual indoctrination down to a new low, the popular British preschool cartoon series “Peppa Pig” has conjured up gay polar bears.
And we didn’t even have to wait until pigs fly for this to happen.
Mothers and fathers may feel that what happens in the bedroom is the private business of those willingly in the bedroom. But many also realize that young children are highly impressionable, especially when lulled along by cartoon characters. This is the reason responsible parents and Congress demanded that Big Tobacco abandon cartoon-like characters such as Joe Camel in cigarette advertising back in the 1990s.
Peppa Pig, created by the London-based Astley Baker Davies animation studio and first appearing in 2004, has reportedly been broadcast in over 180 countries while being translated into 40 languages.
Tuesday’s premiere of the new episode “Families” featured Peppa’s friend Penny Polar Bear introducing Peppa to her two mommies.
“I live with my mommy and my other mommy,” Penny explains. “One mommy is a doctor and one mommy cooks spaghetti. I love spaghetti.”

The episode appears to be the direct result of pressure from LGBTQ advocates who in 2019 initiated a petition pressuring “Peppa Pig” to include gay or lesbian families.
“Children watching Peppa Pig are at an impressionable age, and excluding same-sex families will teach them that only families with either a single parent or two parents of different sexes are normal,” the petition read. “This means that children of same-sex parents may feel alienated by Peppa Pig, and that other children may be more likely to bully them, simply through ignorance.
It remains to be seen whether others who feel this indoctrination is inappropriate for preschoolers will produce a counter-petition and if so, whether that will have any impact on the show’s producers.
Actually, only the former remains to be seen.
The “Peppa Pig” phenomenon is so big internationally that a theme park devoted to the character opened this year in Winter Park, Florida. Hasbro reportedly purchased the cartoon in 2019 for nearly $4 billion dollars.

Britain’s Safe Schools Alliance was quick to Tweet its support of lesbian sexuality being forced upon kids, stating, “Really nice to see age appropriate representation of same sex couples on @peppapig with Penny & her two mummies. We are loving ‘One mummy is a doctor and one mummy cooks spaghetti. I love spaghetti.'”
Others, however, have called for “education, not indoctrination.”
