After nearly two years of the Biden administration working with Facebook and Twitter to control what we see and what we say, a Trump-appointed federal judge has ordered the administration finally to come clean.
Judge Terry Doughty of Louisiana handed down the order on Tuesday, saying that they must provide all emails regarding alleged misinformation and subsequent censorship between the White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and social media platforms, as reported by Fox News.
The ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed by Attorney General Eric Schmitt of Missouri and Attorney General Jeff Landry of Louisiana. The lawsuit held that the Biden administration had suppressed the First Amendment right of free speech on issues such as the election and coronavirus lockdowns.
Judge Doughty shot down the Biden administration’s assertion of executive privilege to protect them from having to answer questions and turn over any of the emails requested.
“This Court believes Plaintiffs are entitled to external communications by Jean-Pierre and Dr. Fauci in their capacities as White House Press Secretary and Chief Medical Advisor to the President to third-party social media platforms,” the Trump-appointed judge wrote.
The Justice Department has 21 days from Tuesday’s order to respond.

The complaint by the attorneys general addresses the divisive issue in America of being silenced on social media, and its control of the information we are allowed to see. As reported in The Washington Post, the attorneys said they now had records of 11 government agencies within the Biden administration that had engaged in censorship with social media.
The attorneys set forth an argument to reveal the alleged collusion by the Biden administration with social media platforms to achieve its own ends:
“…having threatened and cajoled social-media platforms for years to censor viewpoints and speakers disfavored by the Left, senior government officials in the Executive Branch have moved into a phase of open collusion with social-media platforms under the Orwellian guise of halting so-called ‘disinformation,’ ‘misinformation,’ and ‘malinformation’.”
“As a result of these actions, there has been an unprecedented rise of censorship and suppression of free speech – including core political speech – on social media platforms,” the filing continued. “Not just fringe views, but perfectly legitimate, responsible viewpoints and speakers have been unlawfully and unconstitutionally threatened in the modern public square.”
Doughty’s order also specifies that officials at the Department of Health and Human Services will also be required to respond to the attorneys general.
A Biden administration spokesman continues to claim the administration’s innocence.
“We believe in and we support freedom of speech, and we also believe it is important for all media platforms, including social media, to represent factual scientific information and combat misinformation and disinformation that can cost lives,” the official told Fox News.
