Clip of Marjorie Taylor Greene lookalike auditioning for American Idol delights libs

Liberal Twitter apparently wants to believe that conservative firebrand Marjorie Taylor Greene auditioned for “American Idol” in 2002 as a result of a resurfaced video.

On Sunday, “Far Left Kyle” shared a subsequently trending two-minute clip with the caption that purports to be MTG’s “try out for the first season of American Idol under a stage name lmao. What a loser.”

The clip, which seems to have delighted a lot of far-left Twitter trolls (although we still don’t know how many accounts on the platform are real), has received more than one million views so far, along with nearly 40,000 likes.

The would-be pop star and “energetic dancer” in the cringe video identifies herself as Stefanie Sugarman, then 23, from Alta Loma, Cal., and someone who ironically sells cheese in her day job.

She then sings “Knockin’ Da Boots” by H-Town.

“It’s unclear if the woman in the video’s name really is Stefanie Sugarman or Taylor Greene has an almost identical doppelganger,” the New York Post claimed.

Watch the video clip embedded below and “judge” for yourself if misinformation is in play:

After Sugarman demanded a second explanation in the video, all three judges — Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Johnson — reaffirmed that she is “not good enough” to move forward in the competition and thus would not be headed to Hollywood.

Given the resurfaced video that has now attracted a lot of attention on social media, another twist comes as Cowell asked “do you have a twin?” when Sugarman unexpectedly returned, as alluded to above, to the audition room.

As a side note, it’s kind of eerie how young the judge trio looks. The same could be said for co-hosts Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkleman (the latter who only lasted one season).

U.S. Rep. Greene (R-Ga.) has not commented as yet — why should she, although she is usually a good sport, and also gives as good as she gets from critics.

She has, however, far more important issues to address, including a declared state of emergency for severe flooding in her congressional district.

Entertainment gossip site TMZ noted that both women are “quite outspoken,” and that the singer is “a dead ringer for MTG.”

But maybe not.

“That’s certainly what Twitter thinks, anyway, with many jumping the gun…We looked her up, and public records show there is actually a Stefanie Sugarman with roots in Rancho/Alta Loma and San Bernardino County generally. She seems to have married since — now going under a different last name — and her age matches up too. She’s now 43. Marjorie, of course, has a completely different background/DOB…so yeah, it ain’t her,” TMZ explained.

Greene is 48.
