Dropkick Murphys frontman stops show with vulgar rant, offers to fight any ‘patriot’ denying Biden win

In a vulgar rant, Dropkick Murphys’ frontman Ken Casey challenged any so-called election denier to a fight.

The Boston-area Celtic punk band was performing at the Allentown, Pa., fairgrounds on Thursday night when he launched into a tirade that seemed to allude to former President Donald Trump and his supporters (and maybe MAGA hat vendors) who believe the 2020 election was not on the level.

Common sense suggests that hardly anyone goes to a concert to be harangued by politics of any kind — it’s an escape from all that — but that didn’t stop the apparently very triggered musician.

In a clip widely shared on social media, Casey started yelling that “if you are part of a union, or working-class people who were allowed build a better life for the middle-class in America, you f—–g listen to us, because if they’re out there buying those f—–g hats, that these swindlers are selling at the f—–g fair…then you’re part of the problem, and I’ll tell you why.”

He then clued-in the audience as he paced back and forth on the stage: “Because you’re being duped by the greatest swindler in history of the world. You’re being duped by a bunch of grifters and billionaires who don’t give a s–t about you or your family. They care about their tax breaks and the money they can put in their pocket. If you consider yourself a patriot, and you’re spouting off that election-denying s–t, I will fight your a– outside if you want to. Wake the f— up”

Watch the video embedded below and draw your own conclusions: (*Warning for language):

Pointing to himself, Casey, 53, added that “we’re working-class people. The people, the f—–g rich, the billionaires, they don’t give a s–t.”

Although estimates differ, Casey allegedly has a net worth of about $600,000.

Along with apologizing for his language to the kids in the audience, Casey punctuated the tantrum by asserting, “Thank you for listening. Twenty-six years as a band. If you call yourself a fan, you can give us two minutes.”

If the Dropkick Murphys’ singer and bassist was looking for liberal Twitter applause, in addition to in-person applause, he certainly succeeded.

Granted, there are obviously grifters on both sides of the aisle, and that especially includes the Never Trump contingent in the political/media space.

Perhaps he’s unaware, moreover, that many billionaires are often self-serving liberal Democrats who are skilled at taking advantage of tax loopholes, including lobbying to get those breaks inserted in legislation.

Here is a YouTube version (again, language warning):

Whether this metaphorical MAGA drop-kicking is a symptom of Trump derangement syndrome is pure speculation.

In April 2021, Casey told the Hot Press website, “I celebrated Trump losing by my blood pressure coming down!,” and that his then-new album “could have been a ‘screw you, Donald Trump’ record but he’s sucked enough life out of me, he’s not getting any more!”

It does seem like the musician might agree with President Biden’s assessment of MAGA Republicans.
