A Florida woman who engaged in some performance art during an alleged DUI traffic stop was apparently unable to step away from potential charges — which perhaps gives a new meaning to the jig is up.

In bodycam video apparently filmed by the second Pinellas County deputy sheriff on the scene, the motorist appeared to be doing a ballet routine along with Irish folk dancing when the initial officer tried to administer field sobriety testing.

“The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office released a body camera video Friday of a woman who performed ‘multiple ballet and Irish folk dance moves’ during a roadside field sobriety test in late April. Deputies said Amy Harrington, 38, of Madeira Beach, rear-ended another vehicle roughly one mile from her home on April 27. When deputies arrived, they said Harrington showed several signs of impairment including bloodshot, watery, and glassy eyes as well as dilated pupils,” NBC Tampa Bay affiliate WFLA reported.

The suspect allegedly had difficulty following the officer’s directions in the standard walk-the-line testing process. At one point, she apparently can heard on the video telling the cop, “you send like my f—–g ballet coach,” which seems to confirm that she has had formal training. Much of the audio is not entirely clear, especially with traffic noise in the background.

“The sheriff’s office said Harrington later refused testing, which marked the second time she refused to test after a separate incident in Pinellas County on March 3, 2019,” WFLA added.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, she was charged with driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to testing.

According to Fox 35 Orlando, which posted the video, “Deputies said her speech was slurred, her eyes were bloodshot, and she struggled to follow instructions. Inside her vehicle’s center cup holder, officials found a white foam cup and the contents inside tested positive for alcohol. ”
