Failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s upcoming Apple TV+ docuseries has led some to speculate that the venture could be the opening that she needs to insert herself into the 2024 presidential race as the Democratic Party’s replacement for President Joe Biden.

One person who is suggesting such a possibility is former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany who discussed Clinton’s new series “Gutsy” with Fox News host Jesse Watters on Wednesday’s edition of “Jesse Watters Primetime” where she said that the 74-year-old former secretary of state is a dark horse candidate if and when the party swaps out the flailing Biden for a more viable option.
Watters welcomed his guest after playing a video of trailer excerpts from the show which is described by AppleTV as: “Take an unforgettable journey with Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton as they go on adventures with some of the world’s boldest and bravest women – from household names to unsung heroes – who make us laugh and inspire us to be more gutsy.”
“Are you going to be watching?” Watters asked.
“Of course, Jesse,” answered McEnany. “This is going to be my nightly viewing, my treadmill activity, I always put on a show that is lowbrow and low-minded so ‘Gutsy’ is clearly where I’m going next.”
“I mean, you have got to hand it to her, it is objectively gutsy to stay with someone with the propriety or dare we say impropriety of Bill Clinton,” she said. “Maybe one of the one times she was being truthful here, but the description that Variety gives of this show is Hillary and Chelsea ‘playing with bees, putting out fires and rappelling down cliffs with pioneering women.’ What could you want more than part of Hillary Clinton’s endless quest to be likable and seem empathetic? She is about as likable as a cardboard box but maybe this will do it for her.”
“Maybe I’m paranoid. I probably am paranoid. Is she setting herself up to wait in the wings in case Biden doesn’t run?” Watters asked later in the segment. “I mean, she’s had the book out with her daughter, now she’s got the show out with her daughter, is this like a prelaunch relaunch?”
McEnany responded, “I know it’s portrayed as the biggest conspiracy theory since the last conspiracy theory, however, I don’t think you are wrong, Jesse.”
“I mean if there is anyone that we can say megalomaniac, addicted to power, thinks she should have been president,” she added, “still essentially hasn’t conceded the election and wants to be president again it would be this woman, it would be Hillary Clinton.”
“I’ve always said she’s the dark horse. I mean what is Pete Buttigieg, you really think she is going to let this guy stand up and be the next president of the United States?” McEnany asked. “I think she could run, I know it’s a conspiracy theory people say ‘no, no, no,’ but I don’t discount it.”
Democrat dissatisfaction with Biden, which was seeping out faster than the White House spinners could stem the tide, has temporarily been stifled by the propagandistic efforts to shift the narrative to portray him as a strong leader out of necessity to shore up support before the midterms, but once the votes are in, look for the chatter to pack him off to retirement to resume and few would be better positioned than Hillary to take advantage of a final shot at her dream of becoming the nation’s first woman president.
