Jenny McCarthy finally reveals why she declined Playboy exposé

Former Playmate Jenny McCarthy finally explained why she declined to take part in an exposé about Playboy and its late founder Hugh Hefner.

The A&E documentary “Secrets of Playboy” repeatedly requested not only to interview McCarthy, but also asked her to be a host. Finally, she got fed up and on their sixth attempt to reach out, she officially declined.

On Monday’s episode of the ‘#NoFilter with Zach Peter‘ podcast, McCarthy explained that she refused to participate simply because she didn’t have the same experiences as everyone else featured in the show.

“I didn’t have the same experiences, so I wasn’t going to sign up for a paycheck and be salacious when I didn’t experience those things,” she admitted. “And hearing their stories, my heart broke for a lot of these women.”

Many former Playboy bunnies, including Hefner’s former girlfriend Holly Madison, allege they experienced mistreatment while they were part of the adult entertainment business. Madison specifically detailed the “hell” that was sleeping with Hefner, and how she and the other girls tried to rush any intimacy they were forced to have with him.

“None of the females were into it — like, sorry to burst the bubble,” she quipped.

“We thought of it as a chore that we had to do or else we’ll get kicked out of the house,” Madison continued. “And everybody just wanted to make it go by as quickly as possible.”

For her part, McCarthy believes the Playboy Mansion was “safer” while she was there because at the time Hefner was married to Kimberly Conrad. She also claims that it was run “like Catholic school” and she never witnessed any of the activities that were brought up in the documentary, such as orgies.

“I’m so grateful that when I was there, Hef was married [to Kimberly Conrad] and it was kind of run like a strict dormitory,” she explained. “Like, we weren’t even allowed near Hef or around the house. It was almost like Catholic school, to be honest.”

“There were no orgies or big parties going on,” McCarthy continued. “So I think I went in there in a window of time that was kind of safe for me. But hearing some of these girls’ stories was really rough.”
