Deep State dignitary Michael Hayden continues to trash Republicans without evidence, which is interesting for someone who made information gathering his life’s work.
The retired Air Force general, 77, who served as director of the Central Intelligence Agency in the George W. Bush and Obama administrations and, before that, director of the National Security Agency under Clinton and Bush, tweeted his approval of an outlandish statement from a Financial Times editor.
The Financial Times is one of the hubs of globalist groupthink.
“I’ve covered extremism and violent ideologies around the world over my career. Have never come across a political force more nihilistic, dangerous & contemptible than today’s Republicans. Nothing close,” Washington, D.C.-based journalist Edward Luce wrote.
“I agree. And I was the CIA Director,” Hayden chimed in for the quote tweet.

Given the intense conflicts that have existed and are existing all across the globe, the scribe may be just engaging in attention-seeking, performative clout chasing.
This, too, appears to be a form of protect that the left has become known for. In response to the above tweet, author and New York Post columnist Miranda Devine tweeted that “It’s shocking that a former CIA director keeps posting these inflammatory tweets. He is what he claims to deplore.”
Devine has also noted that Hayden, a corporate media favorite, was one of the 51 former intelligence officials who falsely claimed in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation.
On Tuesday, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld called attention to a tweet in which Hayden appeared to perhaps contemplate the execution of ex-President Donald Trump in the aftermath of the August 8 Mar-a-Lago FBI raid.
“Sounds about right,” Hayden asserted about the tweet about the Rosenbergs from Trump-loathing historian and democracy protector, Michael Beschloss.

The anti-Republican tweet that Hayden agreed with seems to overlook, for one thing, the left-wing anarchists (a cohort that Fox News’s Tucker Carlson has referred to as “Joe Biden voters”) who looted and burned American cities during the summer of 2020.
About a year ago on social media, around the time of Joe Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal, Hayden seemed to equate the Taliban with Trump supporters and liked the idea of sending unvaxxed MAGA supporters to Afghanistan.

These retweets raise questions about the mindset of the bureaucrats running key federal agencies.
Luce backpedaled to some degree in admitting to engaging in hyperbole:
“There may be an element of hyperbole in my tweet and I should have qualified ‘in the democratic world’. But here’s the thing, conservative Twitter: Saying ‘hey what about ISIS beheading people?’ is not as convincing a defense of the GOP as you might think.”

In any event, the combo tweet is getting ratioed in a big way. Here is just a sampling:
What, precisely, is “nihilistic, dangerous, and contemptible” about wanting immigration laws to be enforced reasonably, elections to be transparent and fair, women’s sports protected, and criminal laws enforced to reduce urban crime and protect communities of color?

Wow. I remember when we were prosperous, energy independent, and had more money in our pockets. World was safer and no new wars. Oh wait. The republicans were in charge then

Republicans are against rules?

Not even ISIS, al-Qaeda, or Boko Haram? You seem like a solid thinker with a clear sense of scale and proportionality. To think that most people construe journalists as utter morons. [I’ll also retweet.]

Respectfully, what are you trying to accomplish with this message? I understand your concerns, but this type of message reinforces the prevailing GOP narrative of a partisan, weaponized intelligence apparatus.

Let me guess: you’ve taken at least four mRNA shots?

Please give me some examples of how “the GOP” is extreme. If you say 1/6, I’ll expect a list of Republican leadership that supported the protest and subsequent damage.
Then compare to riots and burning of cities and Dems collecting bail money for those arrested.

Please, please give examples, or evidence, of Republican actions that are more “nihilistic, dangerous, & contemptible” than the extremist and violent ideologies you’ve covered. After the massive, violent destruction we witnessed with the Antifa and BLM riots, I’m all ears!
