Attendees of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) aren’t exactly jazzed about ABC’s announcement of two permanent “conservative” pundits who will contribute to the low-I.Q. gaggle that is ‘The View.”
The network has named left-wing pseudo-Republican Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin as conservative co-panelists, but attendees at CPAC Texas feel the pair cannot accurately represent the conservative viewpoint.
“Oh, they will never have a true conservative on that show anymore. They pick people that are going to have their same point of view. If they were Trump supporters, they would never be on that show,” one attendee told Fox News Digital.
“How could that be a true conservative if they’re against Trump who is for everything conservative, for everything that America stands for. So it kind of goes against the definition, and it just sounds to me like it’s more people that are on their side and on their team and just going for one voice and not hearing the other side,” a CPAC attendee from Moms for Liberty told the outlet.
Griffin served as White House communications director during the Trump administration but has since turned her back on the former president. Along with Navarro, whose labeling as a conservative is laughable, the pair will occupy a position that has been held by women like Meghan McCain, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, and Candace Cameron Bure.
“’The View’ has certainly gone down the tubes within the past couple of years anyway… so hopefully they’ll evaluate that choice. Bad choice,” one CPAC attendee said.
Griffin also served under former Vice President Mike Pence while at the Pentagon, but after leaving the Trump administration in December of 2020, she now considers the former president to be a threat to democracy, though she maintains she hasn’t necessarily changed her position as a Republican.
Navarro is considered by the network to be a left-wing Republican who votes Democrat (can there be such a thing?) but she won’t be a regular on the show for the foreseeable future. That makes Griffin the number one punching bag, so time will tell if she stays sympathetic to the anti-Trump rhetoric, which is beyond tiresome but is seemingly the only thing keeping the afternoon show afloat.
Navarro is married to anti-Trump conservative Al Cardenas, who has been working with a George Soros-linked group seeking to take control of Radio Mambi, a Spanish-language radio channel in Miami that is said to be a conservative outlet.
“Well, obviously those ladies on ‘The View’ don’t have very much upstairs, so they need all the help that they can get, any way to bash Trump. So if they get anti-Trumpers on there, that’s what they’re all about,” another attendee said.
Some attendees at CPAC Texas wondered if “The View” was actually still on the air, but others simply rejected the show on its face, refusing to give it any attention whatsoever.
“I don’t want to bring those people into my home,” one woman said. “I don’t want those people in my living room.”
