Despite the repeated rejection by Wyoming voters of RINO Republican Rep. Liz Cheney following her involvement in the Dem-led House investigation into Jan. 6, CNN has decided to go all-in on the prospects of a 2024 run for the White House by the least liked woman in Congress.
As BizPac Review reported in early July, CNN’s own senior data reporter, Harry Enten, took a look at the most recent polling numbers and determined that “we shouldn’t mistake adoring press coverage and bipartisan bona fides for popularity in the place where popularity matters most for Cheney: Wyoming.”
Citing a late-2021 Cooperative Election Study (CES), Enten detailed the depths of voters’ dislike of Liz Cheney.
“Cheney sported a 72% disapproval rating in the late 2021 edition of the survey, which was fielded about 10 months after she voted to impeach Trump,” Enten wrote. “That was up nearly 40 points from her 26% disapproval rating in the late 2020 version, which was fielded before Cheney’s vote.”
“All told,” the CNN analyst concluded, “Cheney was the least popular member of Congress in the 2021 survey.”

So, it shouldn’t have been that surprising to the network when the CNN reporter it sent to Cheyenne to ask likely voters if they will support Cheney in the state’s midterm election discovered the answer was a resounding, “Hell no.”

Whether or not CNN anchor Kasie Hunt actually watches CNN is unclear, because in her exclusive interview with Cheney, which aired on Thursday’s edition of “Don Lemon Tonight,” Hunt seemed to be doing all she could to promote the “remarkable” Cheney as a candidate who could cross the political aisle on a purple wave of bipartisan support.
“You’ve encouraged Democrats here in Wyoming to vote for you,” Hunt noted.
“I represent every single person in this state and I believe that there are thousands and thousands of people across our state who fundamentally understand why it’s so important to have somebody who’s going to abide by their oath of office,” Cheney responded.
“There might be Democrats who would vote for a Cheney?” Hunt asked.
“Yes,” Cheney replied.
And without an ounce of pushback, Hunt stated, “Remarkable,” and moved on.
Unfortunately, the direction in which Hunt moved was deeper into Delusionville.
“You said in your Reagan Library speech men are running the world and it’s really not going all that well,” she pivoted. “Do you think voters in the U.S. are ready for a woman to run things?”
“Sure,” Cheney said without an ounce of self-awareness. “Look, I think that one of the things that has been very moving for me over the course of the last year and a half has been the reaction of women, and not just the women who have testified, although, you know, we’ve seen the incredible bravery of people like Cassidy Hutchinson and Sarah Matthews. And Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, and Carolyn Edwards.”
“It takes real bravery to stand up and tell the truth as those women have,” Cheney added. “And I think that’s been really important.”
If it’s women that Cheney believes are behind her, one would think her campaign ads would be full of really brave female supporters, but instead, Cheney recruited one of Hollywood’s dreamiest actors to put on a t-shirt and act like “a real man.”

When that fell flat, Cheney dug up dear old Dad, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and had him say a few kind words.
Sadly, she forgot that her father is and always has been a bigger RINO than she is, and his endorsement isn’t likely to do her any favors.

Just where is THAT going to get them in a 70% Trump state? CLUELESS.

Still, like a beacon of positivity, Hunt asked Cheney if her dad “wants Liz Cheney to run for president in 2024?”
“Dick Cheney is a big Liz Cheney supporter,” Liz Cheney assured Hunt. “I can say that.”
But, asked Hunt, “is he encouraging you to run?”
“Listen, I talk to him every day about many things, and certainly his concern — look, like, I am right now — he’s really focused on this moment and on what’s happening,” Cheney said.
“Both of us have just this real sadness, frankly, about what’s happening to our party and a real despair about how could it be that so many Republicans would refuse to stand up and tell the truth,” she stated. “And it is a scary moment for the nation.”
Online, many are betting that Cheney will end up as an employee of CNN once she’s defeated by Wyoming voters in the midterm.
“RINO Liz Cheney is appearing tonight on Democratic network #CNN,” one user tweeted ahead of Hunt’s interview. “She is auditioning for a job!” –
