America-bashing VP Harris equates pro-life laws to slavery using VERY familiar narrative

Vice-President Kamala Harris once again used her high-powered wordsmithing to forge more nonsensical claims on Monday.

Speaking to an audience at the NAACP convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey, she compared pro-life laws to slavery and proceeded to make the same tiresome remarks concerning the travesty of states being given more power than the federal government, yet she ironically (and no doubt inadvertently) suggested the opposite.

“We know, NAACP, that our country has a history of claiming ownership over human bodies,” Harris claimed. “And today, extremists, so-called leaders are criminalizing doctors and punishing women for making healthcare decisions for themselves — personal decisions that it is her right to make in consultation with her doctor, her pastor, her priest, her rabbi, her loved ones, not her government telling her what to do,” she declared.

And this is not the first time she has argued that fewer babies being aborted are somehow akin to slavery.

Appearing at the Essence Festival in New Orleans – a celebration of “black joy” that took place ahead of the July 4th holiday in a city where black-on-black murder rates compete with Chicago – the Veep asserted that a “right” had been taken away from women across the land when the Dobbs v. Jackson’s Women Health Organization decision overturned Roe v. Wade.

“The Supreme Court, with the Dobbs decision, for the first time in the history of our nation, took a constitutional right that had been recognized and took it from the women of America. Took a constitutional right,” Harris incorrectly claimed. “And what is so outrageous about this on every level is: One, it is the taking of a right that was given and guaranteed and something that we took for granted to be settled law.”

She added at the time, “We have to recognize we’re a nation that was founded on certain principles that are grounded in the concept of freedom and liberty. We also know that we’ve had a history in this country of government trying to claim ownership over human bodies,” demonstrating yet again that her ability to memorize and repeat short collections of words is her one and only skill. (Emphasis added.)

As far as her speech to the NAACP, Harris also contended that national unity on the issue of abortion has absolutely nothing to do with one’s religious beliefs.

“And, you know, on this subject, it’s important to note that to support a woman’s ability — not her government, but her — to make that decision does not require anyone to abandon their faith or their beliefs,” she said. It just requires us to agree the government shouldn’t be making that decision for her,” she said.

She went on to conflate abortion restrictions with voting rights, saying, “many of those same so-called leaders are the same ones who are passing laws to restrict the ability of people to vote,” before thrilling the audience with her acumen as she explained the concept of Venn diagrams.

Andrew Brennan, the RNC director of faith communications, reminded everyone that Harris has constantly been losing speech writers, and quite recently, too.

“Leave it to none other than Kamala Harris to compare slavery to abortion, slandering millions of pro-life Americans in the process. No wonder so many of her speechwriters have jumped ship,” he said in a statement.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy raised the point to press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during Monday’s White House press briefing. Jean-Pierre claimed to know nothing about the VP’s remarks but also replied that Harris was “correct” in what she said.
