At a recent rally, former President Donald Trump called billionaire entrepreneur and investor Elon Musk a “bullshit artist” in regard to both Musk canceling his deal with Twitter and Musk admitting to never having voted for a Republican before.
“Another one of our highest priorities under a Republican Congress will be to stop left-wing censorship and to restore free speech in America. And go out, by the way, while I’m here and sign up now for Truth Social. It’s hot as a pistol, and you see that I called that one, right? Elon. Elon! Elon is not going to buy Twitter. Where did you hear that before? From me,” the former president said.
“He’s got himself a mess. You know, he said the other day, ‘I’ve never voted for a Republican.’ I said I didn’t know that. He told me he voted for me. So he’s another bullshit artist, but he’s not going to be buying it. Although he might later. Who the hell knows what’s going to happen? He’s got a pretty rotten contract. I looked at his contract, not a good contract. Sign up for Truth. We love Truth.”
He made the remarks while stumping for House candidate Sarah Palin during a “Save America” rally Saturday evening in Anchorage, Alaska.

What remains unclear is the impetus behind the stunning, unexpected rebuke.
Some believe Trump’s simply upset that Musk, who’d promised to unban the former president’s account, has pulled out of the deal to buy Twitter.
But this perspective seems to ignore the fact that Trump said in the spring that he has no interest in returning to Twitter, even if his account is ultimately unbanned.
Others believe the digs at Musk were motivated by the billionaire entrepreneur and investor’s tacit endorsement of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president.
Recall that after Republican Mayra Flores’ upset victory during a special election in South Texas last month, Musk announced on Twitter that he’d voted for her and that it’d been the “first time I ever voted Republican.”
In response, Twitter users asked who he was leaning toward for the 2024 presidential election. Musk replied by pointing straight to DeSantis.
I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican.

This, many suspect, likely upset Trump, who according to reports is eager to run for reelection in 2024, and whose allies have threatened DeSantis if he too runs.

So trump is mad because Elon said he would vote and probably donate to Ron Desantis and not him.

Returning to the rally in Anchorage, Trump also rebuked President Joe Biden and Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a Republican.
“You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them all together and mix them all up, and they would not have done the incredible damage that Joe Biden has done to our country in less than two short years,” he said of Biden.
“The contrast between the Trump administration’s amazing success and Joe Biden’s breathtaking failure could not be more stark,” he added.
He spoke similarly about Murkowski, a centrist Republican who was among the seven senators who voted to convict Trump following the Jan. 6th riot.
“In four months … you are going to fire your RINO senator, Murkowski. She is the worst,” he said.
“She voted to impeach me. And I did more for this state than any president in history. And that piece of garbage voted to impeach me!” he reportedly added.
This set of comments was definitely motivated by his endorsement of Murkowski’s primary challenger, Kelly Tshibaka, who was present at the rally with him.

Despite all the shots he took, Trump concluded his speech with a positive message.
“My fellow citizens, this incredible journey we are on together has only just begun. And it is time to start talking about greatness for our country, greatness again. We don’t talk about greatness anymore. We talk about problems, we talk about crime, we talk about taking power away from our police, we talk about a woke military. Do you believe this?” he said.
“We are one movement, one people, one family, and one glorious American nation. So with the help of everyone here today and the citizens all across our land, we will make America powerful again, we will make America wealthy again, we will make America strong again, so strong. We will make America proud, proud, proud, proud again. We will make America safe again, and we will make America great again.”
That being said, at one point in his speech, the former president did use the f-bomb.
