Joe Rogan revealed his true feelings about former President Donald J. Trump, stating that he refuses to have him on his popular Spotify podcast because he doesn’t want to help him and that he has turned down multiple opportunities to host what would be a smash hit in terms of ratings.
Rogan opened up about Trump during an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman.
“The Trump era is also going to be one of the weirder times when people look back historically about the division in this country,” he said, “he’s such a polarizing figure that so many people felt like they could abandon their own ethics and morals and principles just to attack him and anybody who supports him because he is an existential threat to democracy itself.”
Asked by Fridman whether he believes that things are going to get even weirder, Rogan said, “Yeah, I think it’s gonna get weirder. He’s gonna run again.”
“He’s running against a dead man,” Rogan said of a potential 2024 rematch between President Joe Biden and Trump. “You know, I mean, Biden shakes hands with people that aren’t even there when he gets off stage,” he said, referring to the 79-year-old leader’s reaching out for a handshake with air after a speech in which he falsely claimed that he was a university professor for 4 years.
“I think he’s seeing ghosts,” Rogan continued. “Did you see him on Jimmy Kimmel the other day? Well, he was just rambling, I mean he’s, if he was anyone else, if he was a Republican, if that was Donald Trump doing that, every f**king talk show would be screaming for him to be off the air.”
“And by the way, I’m not a Trump supporter in any way shape or form,” he said, denying that his criticism of Biden is rooted in any loyalty to the ex-POTUS.
“I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show, more than once, I’ve said no, every time,” Rogan said. “I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
Rogan’s remarks about Trump came days after he spoke favorably of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a rising star in Republican politics who has taken the fight to groomers and their enablers, smacked down Disney, and regularly jousted with the authoritarian Biden regime.
“All this stuff is happening when we have a ‘dead man’ as president…it’s not fun…Yeah, I think Ron DeSantis would work as a good president,” Rogan said during a recent interview with actress Gina Carano on his own podcast.

“What he’s done for Florida has been admirable. I feel like what he did for Florida, a lot of people gave him a lot of grief, but ultimately he was correct. He was correct when it comes to, like, deaths, he was correct when it comes to protecting vulnerable populations, he was correct in terms of distribution of monoclonal antibodies, and he was furious when the government tried to pull those. They were trying to pull very effective treatments,” he said, giving DeSantis credit for his handling of the COVID crisis, the gold standard among the nation’s governors.
Rogan has previously hosted politicians including twice-failed Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders whom he supported.
